Shard Unique Places to Visit

While on my Hokuto leg of the world tour [all 27 shards in a year!]...i was shown By the awesome friendly guild Z3RO ....a awesome ''Hot spring Bath'' that is unique to Hokuto....and this got me thinking.... maybe ive rushed the first few legs of the tour .....and this info should be made available to everyone....so how about it???...anyone care to share any unique places/locations on your home shard for everyone to enjoy visit....i knows there plenty around iam not after people musuems or player run towns...just unique locations on each shard for people to enjoy...soooo what else is unique to your own shard????.

Also would be great if u can pinpoint a Rune Libary on your home shard with hopefully the crystal portals set to public use... so again.. people can come visit th shard easily....not a must...be a huge Help!!

Hokuto Shard.
* Rune Libary with Public Portals at Brit moongate [trammel].
Points of Interest
1.Hot springs Bath - north of Brit pumpkin fields [trammel] - rune in the Libary books
2. EM Meeting Hall - north Nujelm - green moongate at WBB

Balhae Shard
* Rune Libary ..Theres a runebook libary south /east inside Luna...no portals though.
Points of Interest
1. EM meeting Hall /village with water garden north of Brit pumpkin fields [trammel] - green moongate upstairs at Luna .. there is a public moongate to get back anywere!

Great Lakes
*Rune Libary ...Located just South West of the Yew Moongate.

*The teleport hub in New Magnicia on Drachenfels offers destinations to community relevant locations, this being establishments for events, shops, rune libraries, museums, or other places of interest.

I remember it was a thread about this a while ago. A little search on UO Hall I found the link - Looking for a UO Hidden Place List.

There is another thread too - Secret Passwords Interesting Places.

Too bad most of the pic's there is gone. But - it can give you an idea to build a new list that is complete

Thanks for the link mandrake ...thats more for the secret places....i was asking for shard unique public places like the Hokuto hot steam bath/spring......

and and was hoping for each shard to share a public libary location with maybe teleporter hubs to get around the shard easy

Great Lakes has the Nameless Rune Library (2 buildings One is a Book Library with many books written by players as well as one building that is a Rune Library which contains many RP sites as well as EM sites.)...... Located just South West of the Yew Moongate....... also has a Banner which can be accessed from the Teleporter hub just South of Luna.

Alot of our original "finds" that the first dev team put in as easter eggs for us to find have been removed or made impossible to get to over the years... I cant comment on the present Dev removal of access to any but past Teams found it's power went to its head alot and took things meant for us away.... Sad to say many of my runes to hidden or special places are now unuseable. EM's have created some very nice places and I wish many had been left for future use and player enjoyment... but alas some have taken it to task to stop this...

I know of one place that has ships of many designs I use to love to explore on my off time...

again ''not looking for secret easter egg/ secret password locations..no no no.....its a very simple request for public shard specfic features that are unique to your shard and that you as a player of that shard are very proud of....not looking for player museums..not looking for island houses..not looking for special place houses...UNLESS THEY ARE UNIQUE TO YOUR SHARD!! [simples]

looking for public rune libary location on EACH AND EVERY SHARD...[if indeed your shard as one- some shards may not even have a public libary]..hopefully with portals to allow an visitor to be able to roam freely around with a handfull of recall scrolls

still looking..and will keep looking.....when i visit your shard i will ask in general...the shards i have already been to... i will revisit and again ask in general, if nobody wants to share the information here...

You'll find most places of interest at the Library previously mentioned.

As far as pretty deco goes by EM's etc you will find almost none. Seems our EMs don't like deco and refuse to make much of anything. Our banks are droll, our fairground is droll, and if you visit our EM hall wear sunglasses and anything our EM's build that stays is usually hidden by secret words and such and fair underground...... so good luck "stumbling" across anything. (use the library) You might try reading the UORPC.net GL's page as it has quite a bit of information about goings on with the shard.... outside that we appear to live in obscurity. They took away our beloved tunnel to Brit but the return is there hidden in the guardtower south of the bank.... however unlike a majority of the shards you will find NO gate at our WBB.

We have some fantastic home designers and decorators however for some strange reason many of them like to be "private" so all you can enjoy is the outter shell.

(And I apologize for sounding displeased but... honestly it's a sore subject for many of us on GL's. Especially any that visit other beautifully decorated shards.)
