Why is my gold not available??

I just cashed a 950k check into gold piles so that I could buy a few commodity deeds for items cluttering up my bank box. Went to the banker to buy said deeds....and my available cash shows zero. I can't buy anything from him/her.

Any ideas on what I need to do here?
