Secret Chest Decayed?

What does it mean decayed? is there something I need to know about this before I lock down this 40m chest?

I assume it means the item can decay over time if it's not locked down or secure.

It means it can decay if NOT locked down in a house or placed in your chars back pack or bank box.

Also, there is a bug with these.... If you xfer it whilst the combination lock feature is active, it can render this unusable at the other end. E.G. Not able to change the locking combination number.

Like most bugs it's not on all Secret Chests. But, @ 40 mill a pop, it's best to disable the locking feature pre-shard-xfer.... Or wait an eternity for a GM to come and fix, if you can find one that's even willing to of course.

Yes even if. If someone comes and figures out your code they can take whatever is inside. So the powers that be warn.

However if you are one of those overly paranoid people who keep your house set to private then obviously no one could get in and try.

I'm talking about the 100's of folk who live in Tram who design and deco awesome looking houses but then make them private...

I never understood the reasons behind having a private house in Tram. Unless you have some stalkers I honestly don't see the point. My houses have been public for over 10 years... never once lost anything or had anyone take my stuff... Detect Hidden works 100% of the time in your house...... or in your co-owned house.... or if you are friended there... 100% of the time. Just like hiding.

I ban thee is also good ...... I guess I like helping folk.... so I have no problem letting folk wander about in my house.

Now I've never really owned a fel house for long.... though I do know some folk who do or have and honestly their houses are also open to the Public. Yep in Fel.

Yep, I agree its pointless to keep a trammel house private...if they are concerned about getting robbed all they have to do is include a door in their design so they can lock the door while locking/unlocking items. or temporarily make the house private, then return it to public.

Personally, I always keep my houses set to private after I place them until I am finished customizing and decorating, since I'm constantly locking/unlocking stuff, and also because it looks horrible while I'm in the middle of it. After I'm done I set them to public for everyone to enjoy.
