I'm curious--does anyone have use for 1,500 alacrity storage (300x5)? I'm wondering why the devs don't just give us one account bound by use of a Brit Bank clicker or the like for these kind of items. Maybe I'm missing something. Cool gift, though .

If you do as many t-maps as a lot of us t-hunters do, yes you sure need room for at least 1500. I have mine divided into alpha groups (I don't like their grouping sort) and locked down and I am presently using 7. Well maybe you have to be a hoarder like me too, but everytme in the past that I've sold some of them, me or someone in guild needed the ones I sold to build a skill.

Exactly I actually had to quit doing my T-Maps because I was running out of storage for the stuff I got from them. A major one the Alacrity scrolls.

How about Bod Books that work like alacrity books? Storing 300 bods for a single lockdown seems like some sort of dream. Right now bods are 1 storage per 5 bods so 300 bods is 60 lockdowns.
I would LOVE to see Bod Books work the same way as alacrity and sot books.

I suggested stuff like this in another thread:

I wish I had a Deed book.... something that held the 100's of Xmas deeds, Christmas Trees, Reindeer, Sleighs, etc... into one spot. As well as maybe a Card box? Something that could store all your cards and cut out 100's of lockdowns.... would be awesome.

But that's something for the future ..... along with wanting 1 tile craftable stone slabs that work like Goza mats so I can make counters and such without having to break my furniture.... Which would have the same lockdowns of an 18x18 or Castle depending on what "size" expansion you bought ..... and also based on the house it's placed in's expansions as to added storage such as 40 or 60% added storage... would be.... just a single level 18x18 or Castle size empty dungeon walled space... With a single ladder in one corner that acts as a teleporter to the house the teleporter was placed in.... and also like the house sign that gives the customization menu.... I know it would be loads of work but THAT would be the most awesome expansion ..... I know a bunch of folk would buy.

U usually get 1 alc scroll out of 5 t-hunts (when i do them,level dosent really matter)
I mostly do level 3 maps. Each map takes 10 to 15 min usually.
So 300x15x5 is what it takes in minutes to fill the whole book..
Thats alot, its 22500 minutes, or roughly 375 hours of nonestop play.
So to fill 7 books you will need 7x375 hours of none stop digging...
So to sum it up, to fill all books u need 2625 hours of game-play, or calculated in days, that gives 109 days.
Avarage player plays 2 hours a day..so thats effective 2625/2 or roughly around 1312.5 days of fun digging chests
So ya, ½ alacrity book would have been eought for even the avrage hording t-hunter, who never sells/use any alc scroll he gets.

Anew dye tub, for dying the SOA/SOT/PS/general deed books (and maybe also BOD books - it's been a while now since the 11th anniv book covers...) - or maybe just expand runebook dye tub the also include these books.

Here you go devs - 8 people like this post. Seems like a completely simple change. The bods books already exist. Simply make a bod book count as one lockdown and hold 500 bods. The alacrity book and trans book is similar - why not bods? Well?

Wow, whata buncha numbers plucked out of the air. I'm amazed at the inaccuracy.

Level 2 maps is where I got a lot of mine, those take less than 2 minutes from start to finish, level 3 maps take 3 to 5 minutes from dig to collapsing the rusty old chest. Plus I had years of doing t hunt chests with my guild. I sure as thunder haven't spent 1300 days digging. Best you do a bit more research before you start calling someone a liar.

a real collectable collection!!!! at holiday times.....[aka] like the old school busts./statues......with a dozen or so solid colours.....20 odd names....not silly ass shades x1000....

yes weve had this xmas ....150 shades of candles...wtf!!! How cool would have been 12/15 solid colour hues with the flames same colour when lit!!

I do not believe that you can do 30 level 2 maps pr hour and get 12++ alc scrolls too..

My reasons .. are strait forward. Working and such as my son and daughter in law do, the time they have to give to a game is rather limited....
Work, travel, fixing dinner, feeding the dogs and general clean up... time goes by rather fast...
I figure the dev have such short time in the game they have lost touch with the REAL NEEDS of we who can devote a bit more time and effort to the game in gemeral.
I can see where someone who can only give say an hour to play will have not much need for bigger books or some abilitys we so deeply need.
You figure if they play a limited hour or even 2 to the game its hard to accumulate much in the way of bods, maps, scrolls, etc that hte normal player can. So to them a 200 or 300 count book is fine and would seem adiquit to fill the needs of we who play longer... or have more characters onthe board so to speak.
I for one collect off my characters close to 100 bods a day... if not more. Heck if i think about it some days i do collect much more if i remember to do so (yes i cn be in game that long)
Seed Box was a wonderfull idea.... and i was so over joyed to have Mesanna see that 500 was too little and raise it to 5000. It would be nice to ajust the menu for a number removal of a seed though, the choice now is very tough.

The T map table was brilliant! The Dev did the same with it but dear Mesanna the holding needs to go up... I have found I am not alone in the t map round table... I mean I hunt and do the maps alot and in doig so do one and sometimes I get up to 3 back! and no not only from the chests do the maps come from but critters around the place... Mibs too... (kaio yes you can if your able to stack your maps for the same area, ie I have maps for the very same spot or close by many times so its not far fetched to do that number)

The books for the blue and pink scrolls is wonderfull... I have yet to fill one but give me time... hehe But i can see those who do alot of hunting can fill one in a short time. But i also see the amount of hte books given to be a sort of answer for this.

But the biggest bit is the Bod books.... You cant hold them if they are full... unless your bare snaked .... They take up more lockdowns then they should. I make this observation and request a few changes that might be of more use to those of us who still do them regularly.
To make the bod books 1 lock down.. like the scroll books this makes much more sense to all. less lockdown headaches.. I can assure you my tailor/smith and others tailors/smiths will cheer for this.

Now for the lvl4 I'd Add 5 more minutes or even 10 minutes for maps 5 and 6. Unless your milking the chests its not impossible.
I have been doing t maps for the full 16 years UO has been in business... and in that much time you learn how to max out your time you spend messing around.
My son would have had over that 700 in the blue scrolls and tons of pinks if I didnt sell them like hot cakes on my Atlantic vendors.
I know its hard to fathom a person doing all this ..
I have done it many times... and i bet if any of the others here ever clocked their hunting i bet they would say the same. I dont always clock our hunts, but when i have to be in and out of game in a set time... you learn to haul tush!

I didnt believe my own eyes either, but the watch said 1minute and 22 seconds.

So i guess we need to make those books able to hold 5000 scrolls.

If they come out with a new reward list for the BODs then there might be less BODs around. Here's the math as a hardcore BOD collector (18x18 dedicated to my BODs and a few chicken coops.) There are the large BODs set that always has the same one that is rare for completing a set. Only keeping ten of the broken set. Plates 6x10x9=540 + chains 3x10x9=270 + rings 4x10x9=360 + male 6x10x4=240 + female 6x10x4=240 + studded 5x10x4=200 + 5x10x4=200. Armors total 540+270+360+240+240+200+200=2050. Normal & Exceptional 2050x2=4100 armor awaiting 1 for a set. Weapons (fence150+mace180+poles60+swords180+axes180)=750 + odd footwear=200 + 2ea 20exc odd cloth=235. 4100+200+235=4535 BODs waiting on one to make a set. Butt load of barbed & valorite runics through bribery. So ya. A better storage books would be great if I could ever say those simple words, "Hello. My name is Snuffy. And I'm a hoarder."

Holiday gifts seperate turn in for purely random unique deco. Or at least some method to stick them in ships cannons for extra damage.

haha I was wondering why this thread was up here! some good ideas. in particular, it would be fun to have better designed BOD books.

I never seem to stick with doing BODs, even though the system is a LOT more fun now than it used to be. the bribing! but I always end up just buying powder of fort, it seems, lol. and then they started to make items that can't be powdered, and so...but reforging, man, that needs a lot of powder.

And for the amount of alacrities rising, I had forgotten about the book I keep locked down for quick drop after doing the chests, it had 222 in it, I keep the 7 regular books locked down in another place. And as Storm says, if you don't pick the chest dry, they go quick, and if you use the EC all the good stuff is in the very first rows except on 6's and 7's where the green bag with arti is at the very end. I just grab the good stuff, hope no other monsters pop (and on lower chests they usually don't), drop the chest and run to next map or back to the bank to unload.

On level 2's for instance, I find the spot (which is super easy in EC), start digging, when the dirt becomes an oblong shape, I drop the Colossus which I've got on a cursor, get invis spell on cursor and when the chest appears full, I invis myself. Colossus does quickly. then I unlock the chest, grab the stuff and 99% of the time my Colossus is still living, so I only need cast one of those, time duration of Colossus at 120 Mystic skill 1 minute. Done and gone to next or bank to unload.

I agree Lady Storm! Highly useable junk in those chests! you can fill low level bods (to turn in for better bods), if you are training imbuing, you can unravel it or just toss it in the trash for points! I always empty the chests unless I am tagging along with Parnoc..I can attest to the fact that he finds them and clears them very fast but he doesn't bother with the junk.

I think the last 2013 toy box shard frenzy as showed the devs..... people want a real collection....to strive and work for.....will make shards and commuitys interact like the olden days.....small collection of say 20 ... not in the bloody 100s... a nice do-able collection..of items that everone would like a set of !!.

SO PLEASE MAKE IT HAPPEN.
