I've used three main templates down there with varying degrees of success for the invasion and the mini towns. None of my chars can really solo anything but a Rogue or a Mystic though.
1. Disco mastery archer w/ chiv + healing (human) - during the invasion it worked absolutely the best with every other shot AI's from a composite bow and JOAT hiding when necessary. Throw in the bard masteries for added damage and I got the most drops with him. In the mini towns with all the running around and emergency invising going on by everyone, not having a way to instantly break agro means way too much running and not enough shooting.
He's shelved for that dungeon unless there's a lot of people there working in a coordinated fashion. Skills: GM anat, 120 archery, 75 chiv, 120 disco, GM healing, 120 music, GM tactics.
2. Garg thrower/mystic/imbuer - It's nice being able to fly after tossing out a RC but with this template throwing misses way too much (he's not running an uber suit to say the least). Still a fun template but again, no way to break agro at all. Skills : GM anat, 85 chiv, GM focus, 120 imbue, GM mystic, GM tactics, 115 throwing.
3. Full mage/mystic w/ hiding - My currently preferred template. Hiding+Invis helps defensively and blasting spells like a howitzer after casting RC to tank gets me a good share of the drops. If I had to improve him I'd add spellweaving and drop hiding but he does quite well as is for now. Skills : GM eval, GM focus, GM hiding, 110 magery, GM med, 120 mystic, GM resist
