What do you do when you play uo?

I'm not looking for any long essays about the 110k things you can do in the uo sandbox, since we all know there are probably that many. I'm just curious what the top thing or few things you do are when you play. I reactivated my account last night just to save my soulstones from my house, and wandered around in circles looking at what people were doing. The game is too laggy to me to continue to heavily pvp, but i have an itch since my account is up to play the game... soo...

What is the main thing you do for entertainment when you log on? Feel free to list a few. I'm curious what aspects of uo are the primary "fun" or addicting things everyone still does.

Lately, my main activities are:
Blackthorn's castle - town pods for minax drops
Blackthorn's castle - gold elementals for gold ingots
Pick up and fill some BODs with blacksmith
Kill Miasmas for gold and chests
Treasure hunting with maps in miasma chests

I do just about everything, but primarily play for pvp on LS, & GL mostly, once in a while Atl.

Sad to hear it's still laggy for you .

RP. (Technically everything I do is RP but what I mean by listing it separately is when I'm not doing something else and RPing it but SOLELY RPing. OR doing things with the RP community such as RPed PvP or High Council meetings or what have you.)

EM events. (On GL in most months there's enough of these to put on this list separately.)

Randomly walking around and seeing what's there. (Areas I didn't know about. Vendor houses I'd never seen before. Guilds I'd never heard of with obviously-used guild houses. My biggest "find" was a few years back when I found a player town I'd never have known about otherwise.) Some nights I call this being "on patrol."

Random dungeon runs. (Looking for good "new loot," and I've managed to find an "Easter Egg" or two that's rarely seen.)

Testing myself in some way. (Example: Can I solo _____ on a non-sampire template. It's rarely worth it from an economic perspective but it is good to test myself.)

Abyss runs (as separate from random dungeon runs). In most cases I'm after Artifacts.

Lately, Lord Blackthorn's Dungeon.

If there's non-EM event content (like the recent invasions) I do that a lot.

On GL, most but not all nights (especially weekends) there's folks working the Ilsh Champ Spawns. Those can be fun to do and I've met some cool people.

Bank sit in Luna and talk to random people.

Talk to random people in Global Chat. (Basically the same as bank sitting, just not involving a physical location.)

Etc.

Working on Herding skill with my stealth mage in Felucca... it's surprising satisfying.
Collecting turn in points with dungeon stealables every day.
Collecting Minax artifacts in the town pods and the mini-spawns.
Random runs to Twisted Weald still hoping for a blaze cu sidhe.

Well lately it's been boring, so I went and made a new character and am actually having a good time living out of my bank box, I actually have several accounts I could activate for a home but I wont give EA anymore of my money but I digress from the topic. I decided this time I wouldn't recall anywhere but walk or ride you would be amazed at the things this land holds, people you meet places you have forgotten or haven't been to in awhile

Lately I've been trying to get on top of my bods. Filling/combining larges and storing the larges reduces overall size of collection. Just passed over 200 spined kit bods the other day. Next working on Horned and Barb kit larges. Need to gather leather for that activity though.

It's still laggy for me too. I hate the snow tiles too so pvp is kinda yucky for me right now.

I was doing the new dungeon thing for a while but it's gotten old. Other than that I can't really find anything satisfying to keep me playing longer than a few minutes anymore.

I have one of those blue mage suits (the one you get from clean up points) now on every shard except siege and mugen. I am trying to train at least one mage/scribe on each shard, to make rune/spell books for the rest of the characters. My goal is to have two or three playable characters on every shard.

I try to train a little every day, even if to log in and get a gg point. Otherwise I am in blackthorns castle on my home shard doing the town maps. (I refuse to call them pods, it sounds silly. You go ahead and call them pods if you want to, but you sound silly when you do -just sayin')

My time is spent Fel mining.I can't prove it,but I'd guess that I have one of the largest stashes of ore and ingots outside of those that afk script-mine for real cash. Other than that,I'll join in RP if it finds me.I do not go out of my way to look for it.

You collect "minax" minor arties (drop in your pack) and can turn those in for blackthorn majors (different styles of stuff already in game like a mage hat with night eyes properties, a norse helm with stats of Mace and shields and there's variations of luck garb and also a 150 durability doublet with Lt sash stats). The dungeon is a downward staircase inside blackthorn castle in brit (tram and fel) and it's a major grind.

The best temp looks to be a thrower/archer with spellweaving lol.

Cetric! Welcome home! I thought maybe you might come home.

Anyway... Mostly you know I RP. Whatever there is where ever, work and plan things as Governor when I'm in office. Listen to the Citizens..... help other Governors plan and run events... Attend meetings, Events..... And of late hit the new dungeon with 50+ characters to outfit it's a godsend! I love the new dungeon and the new Arties...

Filling BODs. Biggest no brainer update for the game would be the rewards. For those most looking forward to that change is a problem. We have already done the work.
Combat Mining with goyl picks in Ish. Like there is any other way.
Fishing (If anything could force me into scripting. Trapping) We need goldsink net purchase that is dragged behind the boat in deep water. Chance to snag deep water boss with a taste for flesh and wood. But something would need to be done with the pies and/or rewards before fishing could be more then a hobby.
Explorer quest for books. Any hunting that can build leathers supply.
Community hunts.

-Making the most "trolly" pvp templates ever...nobody fights legit anymore, so making the most ridiculously annoying template is my primary goal as of now. About 12 points of swords away from making gen chat turn into a huge rage fest!

-Working Detect/Tracking and stealthing thru spawns and finding hidden protectors..revealing them,getting spawn on them and looting those shiny pinkies..so far 2.3 Taming

I'll get back to my Mage once this "lag fix" is actually working..150-160 ping is no bueno

At server up I hit destard demon temple, wind in trammel and fel then finish in valor looking for good greater dragons(rating at least 4.0 and 900+hp). I used to farm them in wind(the guard zone there is handy) but blackthorn's dungeon is better because of the minax drops and the hitching post is only a few screens away.

1. I just finished a 120 smith/tailor on a 4th shard and about to start my fifth (thank goodness for turn in points for the replica sorcerer suit!). I have fun living out of the bank again - it's relaxing and takes me back to when the game was new all over again.

2. A little blackthorn's castle on my main shard. I can't go there for too long since my right hand was going numb from all the clicking and running around that's necessary to stay alive there.

3. Cycling through BoD's on my main shard in my quest to get one of every colored anvil without buying anything.

4. Farm wind ele's trying to get at least one clean legendary artifact.

That's really about it!

Sampire will do nicely for most of the stuff in there, but I wouldn't try doing the town bubbles solo.

Haven't had a whole lot of time to play lately. Also, when I do log on, the lag or whatever is going on with the servers is making things like getting from one place to another and then walking or trying to run around really miserable. (Just a few minutes ago, it was taking 10-20 seconds just to walk through a gate on Siege and finally have the screen show where my character landed.) However, I'm hoping that after the holidays, I'll be able to get back to working on my many and far-flung crafters and tamers and a couple of fishers and t-hunters. I've visited the new dungeon a few times on Origin, but just don't have the time or the desire right now to put into trying to get any of the Blackthorn artifacts. None of my many playable characters have good suits at this point so I can't really see the point in wasting what time I do have grinding for one item that won't help much for just one of them. I'm pretty much in wait-and-see mode to see how the vendor search and Virtue vs. Vice systems turn out.

Glad you're back though and hope you're having fun building back up from scratch!

The only thing I do is log in every 7 - 10 days and empty 25 Ore Carts, 1 Stump and 1 Sheep. Then I log back out to play Path of Exile and watch for news/info on Shroud of the Avatar. I've been with UO for a LOOOG time, but that could be changing as there are things I have not been happy about for quite a while now.
