Reflect physical damage

Hi has an one tried imbuing reflect physical damage on there armor pieces for the hard hitting captains
and have you found it affective. I'm thinking of making a suit with 15% on each armor pieces. With the amount that some of this macers, fencers, swordsman hit us I was think reflecting it back at them might be useful. Has anyone done any number crunching on this?
Also trying to figure out the how much DI I need to have before I reach the cap of 300%. I understand some of the calculations include variables so it's perhaps not an exact science.

When it comes to figuring that 300% over the normal base damage of the weapon what are we figuring as part of the equation? Sorry i'm rusty on these things and have only shown an interest again due to this recent invasion and my quest to solo most captains. Thus trying to balance everything out to be the most effective.

is it?
Weapon skill, anatomy, tactics , DI, EEO, devine fury, etc with varied numbers depending on high the skill is. I was hoping you can just punch in some numbers with out the DI so that you know how much is needed with out
adding to much. This way other modes on weapons or jewelry could be used.
Thx for any info

RPD cap is 250%. It looks useless. When monster does 20 phys damage but I do 150 and hit several times more often there is little sense to waste 6 imbue mods just to reflect 18 damage only.

You can read here about DI:
Non magic warrior possible?

Ok Thank you Corwin. After I posted this thread I went back to my warrior and looked at the stats profile which shows his strength etc.. I looked specifically at the damage range (53 to 63 bladed staff),
on the weapon its listed as 14 to 17. If I take 20% DI off my suit the damage on the weapon drops to the range 49 to 60 and I am assuming that would then translate to at 300% increase to 150 to 180
range of possible top damage you could inflict. Which makes sence since with the best I am hitting atm with that weapon is in the 180's damage wise when using the special move AI. So 20% decrease
would reduce the possible top damage by 15 to 18 points. Not a huge amount but if you also leeching mana, life and stamina it could add up over a period of time.
The RPD I had no clue how affective it might I was guessing not much like you said.

If you want to do max damage you need 100 DI on items except if you use DF you need 80 DI (DF gives you +20 DI @ 120 chivalry).

There should be type in your numbers ("53 to 63 bladed staff").

20% DI gives you 14*0.2 - 17*0.2 = 2.8 - 3.4 damage. Displayed numbers depend on rounding but you may count that 20% DI = +3 base character damage for you (+9 final damage if you got 3x bonus). In your case this is difference between 189 and 180 possible max damage.

Yup that's what I was figuring, I'm starting to get the hang of all these calculations now, foregot about the +20 di from DF but thta's not always going to be on.
But going with 80 DI with out DF is probably good enough and then add other things instead.

20 DI = 40 anatomy or 32 tactics
if you want to sacrifice something it's better to drop anatomy and tactics to 100.

Well I currently have
120 bushido
120 chiv
120 tactics
90 anat
90 healing
60 parrying
120 sword

149 str
150 dex 182 stamina
73 int

but i'm in the process of changing some jewlery out for new ones and some of the armour. Not to keen on using the refinements to increase
the resists since i'm using woodland armour currently and would have to fugure them in and hope i get lucky on getting DI or HCI after enhancing.

I don't have the formula in front of me, but I am 99% sure that you'd do more damage with 110 tactics and 100 anat

change 20 tactic for 20 anatomy - you will get more damage and more healing (for max damage 110 tactics and 100 anat, but i suggest to get more anat - for healing)

Yes agreed increase the ability to heal more is a good thing at times.
