Does anyone know if there has been an unannounced vacation for in game support? I waited 2 hours for a response on Sunday and 2 hours yesterday. Trying again today perhaps the results will be better. I do open a new request each time............maybe they are really busy?

What is your problem? Maybe others here can help or come up with ideas on how to word/reword your problem.

It is now 8:20 AM Eastern time. If you have been waiting the past 2 hours for support you need to consider that the GMs may be working off of a US 9-5 schedule. I don't know if that is true but I do know I get my best GM experiencing anywhere between 9-10 hours from now.

I thought I read that support is 24 hours 7 days a week. Anyway, I have a house on Napa. I went to atlantic and bought a house there on the same account from another player. I got the message about having a condemned house but misread it thinking it only applied to one house per shard. So, I have a linked account, transferred the Atlantic house to it and discovered that didn't fix the issue and my house on Napa remained condemned. A friend on Napa logged into a houseless account and I transferred the house to him. I logged back on to Napa and my house is still condemned.

Hrm.....I wonder if having a high seas boat would interfere with house status. I have opened up the housing gump and changed the name among other things. When I go through the door closest to the sign, I get the "This house is condemned." message. Thanks for you help too.

GM wont help you with that. You placed that house condemned, so only solution is to have it transfered to another acc - then back to you when the timer allows it.

If it is a grandfathered acc, you are screwed deeply. They will not refresh any house for you, sorry.

Mandrake is correct, I'm afraid. You might get really lucky and find a GM who will fix that, but strictly by the rules, GMs aren't supposed to do that.

I don't follow you: "You placed that house condemned" do you mean I made it condemned by my actions? Yes. However, there is only one house on that account now. One only, including the linked account. Why wouldn't the code recognize that? And if a GM won't fix it then I am led to believe there must be some exploit that was fixed in the dim past through coding. Anyway, I will just empty it out and replace it. In retrospect, I should have just had my friend take the Napa house instead of the Atlantic one. Play and learn I guess.

Thanks again for the insight.

Once a house goes condemned due to placing or accepting a house on the same account there is no way to refresh that house short of transferring the condemned house to another account. Nothing else you can do will stop the decay.

Well not entirely true. You can empty it out and put all your stuff in each characters banks, boats, and blue beetles, your main characters packies, and in a friends house and use the command "I wish to resize my house" under the sign to replace it like it sounds he is going to do.

Will that really work? I've never been in a condemned situation, but I see that it should per its Stratics page: "Circumvents the normal 7 day delay between demolishes/rebuilds"

Yup. When you drop your last house on an account it allows you to place a new one since you are homeless. Using the resize command just ensures no one takes his spot. Dropping or resizing does NOT allow a house to be transfered to you if you are still within the 7 day timer though, only placing yourself.

I do not have to wait out the 7 day timer if I just demolish and place a new house myself? I do not have any other houses on the account, just the transfer thing that started this on Sunday.

I am not sure this will be true in your case. Normally dropping and replacing will bypass the 7 day timer... however, where you did a transfer on that account I am not sure if you will be able to replace until the transfer timer is up.

Correct. The 7 day timer isn't there to punish homeless people, it is to prevent 1 person from placing and holding more than 2 houses at the same time.

I've done it countless times. Just use the resize command. Click the tool, see the 7 day can't place message, panic, realize the tool hasn't refreshed yet, calm down, replace house. How do you think house sellers do it? They have a placing account with no permenant home. They place a home. They have a 7 day timer. They sell the home transfering it. They have no home. They place a new home. Repeat. They just can't have a house traded to them with the timer, or place a second home if they can't sell the first one for 7 days.

in game support is funny.
my kid placed a house the other day but couldnt get it as big as she wanted because there was a rug in the air about 2nd or 4rd story up blocking.
so i was sitting there on her account and paged a GM.
no one showed up for 2 hours.
so i logged out and forgot about it.
next day my kid comes into my den and says the strangest thing happened, some person named GM was talking to them but they couldnt see them anywhere and she didnt understand how to talk to them, so she just left and continued playing.
i logged in and went to her house and the carpet was gone.
so the GM showed up the next day.
was kinda funny.

Read his post.... he DID have a house transferred to HIM.

Read his other post, the one where he then transfered the new house to his buddy. Leaving him with 1 house only that is decaying on his old shard. HOW he got on the timer doesn't matter a bit. The number of houses he has does. He can't have ANOTHER house transfered to him for the 7 days but he sure can resize his only one to stop it from decaying.

If it is the decorative carpet too high in the air to click on, to unlock it cast the telekinesis spell and target it.

This new 24-96 hour GM response time is for the birds. I had an issue with bugged stuff. They came and undid it only for it all to rot because I wasn't there.

I wish I had said a little more..........this house cannot be resized. So presumably the fix only works if one can resize their house.

Cannot be resized as in improperly placed or in a no housing zone? If so then no, you'd have to transfer it.

The house was properly placed and in a housing area.

I picked up the house and replaced it. I did not have to worry about the 7 day timer. Thank you all for the help. Claudia-fjp is spot on.
