"If'n it ain't broke,don't go and try to fix'n it." Seems like to me that it will be more work than what it's worth.
If Taylor can get us a whole set of buttons, then we won't just hear the negatives but also some positives we missed before. Anyone who is worried about the negativity can easily practice some counteractive productive feedback and cancel it out *smiles*. Some threads you won't be popular, other times when you help someone out, you could find a lot of people giving you a pat on the back. But y'know, that's life...

How insecure can someone be to be so scared of a generic dislike button?
Or is it not insecurity if you pretend to not want a dislike button only because you pretend to want only unicorns and rainbows and happy thoughts (although your posts don't reflect that lol)

With all the insecure people out there you really need to ask besides it's not the dislike button their scared of its how many times its going to be used towards them. Some cannot take rejection no matter how its dealt out, even though the dislike button will be towards what they posted the insecure people won't see it that way.
I would hate to wake up one day hear on the news someone took their life cuz they got to many dislikes on the stratic forms. Stratics about building a community, but have a dislike button that caused so n so to take their life. We really don't need a dislike button to help the bully process along do we?

Well, XenForo has a huge achievement system that can award users for certain types of activities: number of posts, number of likes, days registered, likes-to-message ratio, etc. The plugin I mentioned above can expand further upon these achievement criteria. The aim, in that case, is to encourage and award positive types of activity on Stratics Forums.
Currently, we only award points for posts, because our achievements are tied to our username system. We could potentially separate the username tiers from achievements.
No plans to do this at the moment. I'm just curious about everyone's thoughts on the matter.
