What is "and many others"? Is one a castle ladder? I might buy it if that is the case.

You can get a ladder with a Heritage token. Much cheaper too.

I have not played for over 10 years (being back for about a month now) and it appears that the token was a 15th anniversary gift. Presumably I would get one from another player? I appreciate your help.

indeed, heritage tokens shouldnt cost more than 250k depending on shard

Not sure about that description - but the "Legacy Token" only has 3 items it can give. Charger of the Fallen, Hooded Shroud of Shadows or the Soulstone.

Also, when you buy a code, it might come in the wrong format. You'll need to take out the dashes and restructure it as such:
XXXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX = 6-5-5-5-5
