I was wondering what people are using for their sampire templates. I've been seeing a few different threads and some people running 120 parry or 120 chiv these days. Maybe its time to change mine about?

My current setup is:

Swordsmanship: 120
Tactics: 120
Bushido: 120
Anatomy: 110
Necromancy: 100
Chivalry: 85
Parrying: 60

Full studded suit with 55LMC and mace and shield glasses. No weapon:

191 stamina
70 Mana
135 Hit points

Stats without potions:
150 STR
150 DEX
10 Intel

I've got resisting spells on a soulstone which I sometimes swap around with the anatomy but I prefer the extra damage.

What do you guys run for sampires?

120 Chivalry is good if you want to remove SSI from your weapon.
120 Parry is always good.

Fencing 120
Tactics 101/115
Anatomy 100/115
Parry 120/107
Bushido 120
Chivalry 95
Necro 99

Stats without potions:
162 Stam
140 HP
90 Mana
130 STR
120 DEX
30 INT

50 EP, 40 LMC
5 SSI, 40 DCI (75 Phys Res)

What do you mean about 120 chiv and removing SSI from my weapon Corwin? Use divine fury?

At the moment I'm using longswords with 30 SSI on them (5 SSI on my ring) so 35 SSI in total. I also use radiant scimitars for whirlwind. I was thinking about trying double axes but I'd need to imbue SSI on these.

Yes he means using df. Though as a sampire you always have to make sure to have max karma so you get the full ssi bonus.

Double axes are great. My favorite weapon

What mods do you put on your double axes? I would like to have a slayer and hit area effect but I don't have room with SSI, DI, HML, and HSL. At 3.25s base speed I need 35 SSI total. Or can I drop the hit area and still be more effective than a radiant scimitar because of the 15-18 base damage (compared to 12-14 for a radiant scimitar)?

With my gear i have 183 stamina and 20 ssi. As i always use df at max karma i have 35ssi. But that may be not be possible for some sampire templates cause you need 120 chiv.

Anyway i never use hit area on weapons. I did some testing here doing abyssal champ spawn. Hit area does good dmg but a demon slayer with ww from a double axe is totally enough. Additionately i always have problems with auto defense using hit area effect weapons

A double ace sure does more dmg here. Also consider 2 things:
- Its a 2 handed weapon so better chance to parry plus 600 imbueing weight
- you also have double strike against harder monsters like archdemons.

These days? I've run 120 chiv and 120 parry since the beginning.

I run multiple sampires, depending on what I am fighting. 120 chiv, 80 chiv or 0 chiv. Always 120 parry.

I want to give 120 parry a try, what do you run to fit in in? Only 100 tactics?

I've got 191 stamina with 5SSI on my suit. I then have to imbue 15 on a double axe to hit max swing. I reforged an axe to have 100HML, I then imbued a super slayer, HSL and SSI and then DI.

I made a sampire post a while back, but when it really comes down to it, all you NEED for a sampire-type character is weapon skill, tactics and necromancy. Other than that, the other skills are really interchangeable. Even Bushido. You are in a group situation where you know you aren't going to be using honor or whirlwind. You are probably better off switching out Bushido for something else.

Yes, it mostly started out about doing the most damage possible, so that you leech the most hp possible. But even then, with slayers, sometimes you need Chivalry and other time you don't. (weapon, tactics, anatomy, strength, DI from suit/weapon)

Don't be afraid to experiment and change. You might be surprised at what you can do and with what.
