I would like to have that clear from the walktrough that its writen as a adventure and that some and things that happended are not exact how you need to do it.
I did not want to write that scales drop in backpack but i wrote that i cut it from wyrm. And that you have to click the plates but that i dropped them on it.

Frarc,you did a great job with the walkthrough and much appreciated. I like it just the way it is, sometimes we get stuck on small things (ie: drop in plate or click, scales etc) but that's part of the fun, when the "light bulb" goes on and you get that aha moment. For me (as I mentioned above) it was the plates. And if we just can't figure it out well that's what the boards are for. So, imo, you did it just right keeping it in the spirit of an adventure rather than a detailed report.

Of course by its very nature a 'walkthrough' is absolutely riddled with spoilers!

Pardon Me I do try to research everything I can myself but I do not know much about event quests and I did not understand where the walkthrough link led me but actually I dont need a walkthrough per se. If someone could simply tell me where I start this business, what location I go to and whom I speak with I would be more than happy to follow their dialogues clues at that point, but I must be missing the part where it explains how I actually begin. Thank you

Yes, start by talking to Hepler Paulson at the Sons of the Sea in Trinsic.
Be sure to read all scrolls and books that you will find in the various locations. Hepler's scrolls are in the building behind him

I don't know if the issue I had is the same as yours but had a "duh" moment. I filled all the plates but nothing happened, tried again, still, no instructor appeared . Checked and double checked the right order, still nada. Long story short..I had been just dropping the items on the plates not realizing you had to first double click the reagent and then, click the appropriate plate. That did it, out came... "Blue Boy"!

Hum.... I think I clicked the plate then the reagent....

Hi everyone..... I have completed the quest on a few of my chars now and have also completed the boss on Europa, but nobody in the party got any arty or any kind of drop. Does anybody know what or if the boss drops any items ????

Frarc & Petra: Fantastic work, as usual.

My experience with the quest: Best to be done with a Stealther - Mage - Mystic. 80 Stealth and Legendary Mysticism / Focus. All encounters are no problem. You can avoid the mobs by stealthing and kill the bosses easily with RC.

Well, I'm out. lol I tried with my Mystic Mage (Hiding, no stealth) and got as far as the Instructor Paragon that promptly whooped me. After 8 LONG runs back to Valor to res, I just let him have all my stuff and quit. From now on I'm not going to bother doing any event with paragon bosses - it's too frustrating. Maybe I'll try to get a few guildmates to try it with me but that usually takes a few weeks to arrange due to our schedules. How some of you did this with multiple characters I have no idea. That thing just insta-dispelled my RC's, locked onto me like Miley at a twerking convention and sent me to monchromia no matter what I tried. Oh well, I'll spend my casual play time doing other stuff - this one's not for me. *sniffs* I really wanted that tile too... oh well. Maybe they'll add titles to the UO store someday?

wait next day, it will reset and high chance it will not spawn as paragon again

The biggest mistake i seen players do in Sorceress dungeon when i guided them (and desert in Ilshenar) Is to fight with everything. The only right thing to do is to run, fly passed as much as possible. Hide if you can.

I did the event with a 100% pure warrior, he has no hiding, no spells. He only fought with he bosses that needed to be killed in close combat. It can be done but don't fight with everything.

If they spawn as paragon, this is bad luck. I can really understand you. In such cases I wait til the mini bosses spawn as non-paragons... Good luck next time!

invis before you drop the last reagent - after you placed your rising colossus ... then mass sleep, spell plague, bombard to death if you don't want to just sit and watch your RC do the all the 'work' ... I got two paragon chests from two blue 'boss' paragons to prove it. It helps a lot if you lure anything else away from that table before you drop the reagents.

BTW: I finished the quest chain 11 times on Europa - using all sorts of templates - so far and once on Drachs and it IS great fun. (I also got some grey robes of course but not too many from the very first 'blue' paragon)

Good advice! I did have the room empty and I could always get a few RC's on him but he dispelled them constantly. Many times they were insta dispelled and I'd be targeted before I was finished casting it's replacement. On foot for me = dead duck. My character isn't a superman type as I'm a casual player so I admit I'm probably not good enough to solo one of those paragon critters. I'll stay away from this one as it's for advanced players only - which is ok, not everyone should be able to participate in all aspects of a game like this! I'll just add it to the list of things I'm not good enough to do in UO - alas it's now a pretty long list.

Nah, you can just go back later, if that's the part of the quest you're on - until you advance to the next part of the quest, you can fight things as often as you want. You just had bad luck here. The non-Paragon version of the Instructor isn't difficult at all - I did the quest on a Tamer, and a Nightmare was sufficient for it. Just make sure there are no Lich Lord Paragons around.
