Is there some button where I can just make a post in a thread and NOT reply to a specific post with all the Quoted Text and such? Sometimes I just want to make a comment in a thread but bot have to delete all the text of the user that comes along when you click the REPLY button....

Thx.

Scroll to the bottom and you will find an open field to type in with a post reply button.

And if you click "More Options" at the bottom right corner of that box it gives you a dedicated reply page.

Edit: Though I think the WYSIWYG editor is enabled by default so it likely doesn't change anything to do so.

You get a "preview post" option anyway. Don't know about any other differences.

No real difference for users between the quick reply and the full reply via 'More Options' other than the preview button. We wanted to make it as easy as possible to reply to threads without so many clicks.

I still can't edit my posts.... When I try, it opens the text window but doesn't let me type anything in there. What am I doing wrong?

Sorry if I've hyjacked this thread, but I thought it was within the realms of this topic - just :)

Thanks in advance for any info etc......

There are still issues it seems. Just click on "more options" if you really need to edit a post.

The issue appears to be isolated to Firefox. I have asked the engineers who designed our forum software and they tell me once we upgrade to the next version this will be resolved. This is on the agenda. Coming soon(tm).
