Repond scrapper, doing 70-82 damage to coon in rat form with 98 SDI and 120 EVAL using flamestrike?

Just wanna know if those numbers are supposd to be so LOW? Using an invasion spellbook I was doing 50 dmg poison strikes to coon.. I flamestrike the rat men and do 280+ damage but the coon in rat form im htiting for 70-82 with a repond scrappers?

The scrappers is not engraved... I bought it from BigEV for 250mil just yesterday... The baracoon was in Rat Form... When he went into Human form my flamestrike was hitting it for anywhere from 33-45... So when he went into rat form it basically like doubled but why is it so low of damage? I swore I thought I would hae been doing over 150 per flamestrike, not 60 (yes it was as low as SIXTY) to 80 dmg.

Ya that scrappers def legit no engraving crap.I made it month or so back and been using it personally recently whenever i find some time to hunt and sold it since couldnt pass that price up, hadnt used on the coon so can't help with this discussion as to what ur damage should look like but every other mob i killed with it def would increase the damage noticably. Maybe bug with coon? I don't know someone with more experience good with these damage calculations can help here more maybe?

Also dying did not resolve the problem or changing books off and on the paperdoll... I died during the fight, ressed up, put book back on and same damage on the baracoon.

Missed that. But do you suspect that damage to be off as well? Not big into mages so I wouldn't know what type of damage to expect. However, it is still a boss, so a difference in damage should be expected. Perhaps that one coon just happened to have a higher than expected resistance to fire?

That damage is above average, I do this champ casually with 60 sdi, while applying: evil omen, corpse skin, & curse yet only reach 50 to 60s with Flamestrike. Remember Repond is only a double slayer & not tripple slayer, so the damage multiplier isn't gonna get huge. Also you can go higher than 98sdi if you really wanted to get more damage output, but honestly I get a faster kill with my 60sdi just spamming 30s damage range fireballs instead of chaining Flamestrike, as it takes more mana & time to regen after Flamestriking.

I wish I could have ran the numbers for you on a fireball but I would be surprised if fireball did HALF as much damage as a flamestrike did... And it still sounds normal even if having used an invasion book (to get 102 SDI) and using a poison strike I was hitting for 40s-50s dmg per hit? Remember an Invasion book, so no slayer on it... When I used th same invasion book my flamestrikes were doing LESS damage then my poison strike... Something there doesn't add up correctly, I was under the impression that flamestrike does more damage then a poison strike?

you need to corpse skin it will do all the difference ! you will reach 100 damage per flamestrike and if you evil omen you will do around 125 per flamestrike. Also do you have inscription?

I think it's really only bannable if seone asks you to please stop because it's offensive and you either ignore it or badger them and continue..

Back on-topic..I also have a Full SDI Scribe using a repond..and it was quite depressing to see the little damage a FS did..when a flamestrike on Lady Mel with the fey book does like 350 Range

its because coon has a fire resist of about 75% and lady mel has around 40% fire . With corpse skin Coon drop to around 60 and lady mel drop to 25. If your flamestrike does 300 base damage, after resist calculated, a FS on coon would do 120 and a FS on Mel would do 225. So its almost double damage between 60 and 25 fire resist. And im not including discordance or it would do alot more.

Do I need to CURSE the baracoon as well as CORPSE SKIN or can I JUST Corpse Skin it and be fine? Also would another spell be better to use (something not fire related) to dish out more damage? I was considering taking off spellweaving since I have earthquake anyway and going with a template like this:

120 magery
120 eval
120 spirit speak
120 discord
120 music
120 necro (so I can wither 100% of time no fizzle mainly... Especially on lvl 3 spawn, pre cast invis, run in.. Invis... let everything target bakes... Wither away and kill rat mages in 2 withers).

now I thought i'd use a dark wolf, get out my two bonded bakes and have them tank the baracoon while I discorded the coon and used my bard mastery DoT (Damage over Time) spell "Despair" and "Tribulation" to hit him I was wondering if it'd be nice since you can choose what type of damage it does (energy, fire, cold, ect). I know despair and tribulation slowly drains your mana as well while it's up but I figured since I would be in wraith form I could just leach the mana right back or does anyone know if those spells leach mana back as they periodically damage the baracoon? Now for working the spawn I figured I would just earthquake mainly to kill stuff... If I get in sticky situation (All guard me) and let the bakes do their thing. When baracoon is up have the bake kitsunes TANK the baracoon while he is discod. If the discord damage over time spells work as intended in wraith form where they should return mana to you then I could essentially sit there and spam greater heal to keep the bakes alive without having to switch to offense and spam fireballs to get some more mana to heal pets (make sense?). Does anyone know if this template would be viable or has anyone tried this?
