I am not exactly sure of the date he was dismissed, I believe it was season 9.
He was an EM for one night on ATL only.
I am unsure if it was the robe and soley the robe that got him dismissed, but he was dismissed directly after I posted it on the old stratics forums, and mesanna asked me what it's history was.

Yes this robe is the reason he was dismissed. He was the only EM to not even survive his "meet and greet". He got caught up in the frenzy of it, signed the death robe and sadly that sealed his fate.
Sorry to take this thread off topic. Why did that get him dismissed? I see em named items a lot. How was his any different?

Because there is a zero tolerance deal for having stuff with the top line done (ie drops) etc without the ok of who watches over the EM Program and then only allowed to be dropped on critters and not just handed out. Most of the other EM named stuff (except sashes - which Pyewhackets sash was already available on the clicky at EM Hall) is on the second line these days. That was done to combat the conspiracy stuff where folks always accused the EM's of playing favorites and giving items to their friends and stuff. Or that's how it has been explained in the past. *shrugs*
ps... anyone who purchased this item had to know the discussion was going to come up in the event they listed it for sale. Just like in the initial auction after the item was signed. Multiple rares collectors refused to bid on it once they found out the story behind it. To each their own tho

This is how I understand this particular situation, and anyone can correct me if I am wrong. Mesanna must give Event Moderators permission on which items they can or cannot distribute to players. Pixels are, for a lack of a better term, a controlled substance. Event items created and distributed by Event Moderators without Mesanna's permission would be considered contraband, and therefore illegal which could potentially get them deleted. Mesanna has since introduced programming measures to prevent current event moderators from violating their contractual agreement in this regard. Any rogue Event Moderators caught breaking their contract in this manner could be terminated at Mesanna's discretion.

I suggest you sell it to whoever "price checked" it then.
they aren't interested in buying it, they were only price checking it.
the robe is 1 of 1, it's not going to be a 50m item.

You have to keep in mind just because it's 1 of 1 doesn't automatically give it value. A person lost his job over that robe. That's enough to keep me away from it right there. That's just bad mojo.
I realize that sometimes discussion of an item can be "annoying" when you're trying to sell, but it's a good policy to have an open forum like this for folks to post so that potential buys can be aware of the situation. Just as if someone was selling something you were considering buying, you would want full disclosure. This is one of the most important and valuable tools to having a forum to post in.
Value is inherently what someone is willing to pay for the item. In an open auction, you found that value to be 21M. If it is more valuable to you than that, the best option for you to be is hold onto your item.

I'm the type of person who has limited funds and so many items to yet cross of of his list. I don't want to make a bid and it just sit there with no intention of it even selling at that price. Not trying to derail your thread anymore than what it has, but honestly if you turned down 350M, there really isn't any point in opening this up for auction.
Nails Warstein advertised his auction in-game, on his website, on stratics in multiple forum sections. His auction was at its max in advertisement and if an item got its highest bid there, that's probably what you can expect here. In that case... after all the advertisement and that was its highest bid, that is probably the max you will get on it.
As the seller, you need to make a decision in your head. Do I want/need to sell or just keep.
If you're looking to sell, and will actually commit to selling, I bid 150M.
If this is a price you aren't acceptable with, tell me now.
And since I posted my post above, I've received numerous PM's.
I'll just say if I see a 'new' person post in this thread outbidding me, and I haven't seen them post before. I withdraw my bid or future bids and will 'loose' all interest in this item.
I don't feel 150m is enough for me to want to sell it. I am committed to selling the robe however.
There won't be anyone false bidding on the item, I just won't be taking a low bid.
I can have 150 as a c/o, but as of right now I feel like I can get more.

I would have had an interest for around 180 million or so, however knowing you have already cheated at an auction by bidding your own item up, causes me to lose all interest in the item, and all future items you may have to sell. bidding your own item up is not that different from scamming.
I understand what you're saying.
I can't help it if that's your perception of me, all I can say in my defense is that proxy bidding is allowed in said auction house.
It's your call if you think I'm disreputable; however, I feel there are others who would vouch otherwise

Correct. My understanding of proxy bidding is if I bid for Promathia because he cannot get on in time to bid for himself before the end of the auction.
Shill bidding is the term you are looking for, not proxy bidding. It is illegal in the real world and ends with you being charged with fraud.

proxy bid was just the term I was given, I honestly have never used the terms proxy bid, or shill bid.
