Origin Store Issue

It has come to my attention that the Origin store is having issues with their email. This means that if you buy something you will not get an email with the code. They estimate it taking several days to fix this issue. I am asking everyone to not purchase anything from the Origin store for a few days please. As soon as they tell me its fixed I will post to everyone and let you know.

While you are at it, please ask them to fix also the fact, that the code is only shown in HTML view of the mail program, but not in plain text view.

Worth noting that the store here in Brazil just got updated to a new version of the site.
And with that, we lost the King's collection from the store... and Stygian Abyss is still nowhere to be seen.

I couldn't agree more, I read it here then I checked UO-herald and the "Mythic token fiasco" was the last message posted.
I'm glad she communicated here, but the patch-screen & official UO site would have reached far more people.

Patch-screen & Official Site is necessary, especially since it's effecting Real Money purchases.

We're still waiting for a new EM on Europa, but the Drachs one is standing in for now, and it seems they have access to other shards Town Criers; so there's no reason that vital warnings like this couldn't be added to the Town Criers as well by EMs, and I hope any of them seeing this thread will consider doing so.

I am still wondering about the expansion codes from a few weeks ago. Haven't bought any and I won't until I am certain I won't have to spend hours on the phone with someone who doesn't even know this game exists.

OK its has been over a decade now, but I'll say it again. There is this log in window that gets the most eyeballs pressed to it. After the window allows a player to log in. There is a pick a shard and decide what character of one their accounts to play. The shard and character window on EC give playing hints like Ctrl Shift usefulness. Flashing red letter messages instead would be a good ideal.

WARNING: Do not purchase any dyed Swamp Dragon armor. All dyed deeds and dragons will be corrected and set to basic color.

WARNING: Do not purchase any Advanced Character tokens in game. Those that like your wallet more then the game are at it again and all tokens will be deleted.

WARNING: For Tamers and the safety of their pets. Untill fixed do not use pets against Fuzzy The Violater boss from Underyourbed dungeon. Pets currently being killed by Fuzzy are going wild if rez done in Underyourbed.



I even think the town cryers are overpaid for their lack of up to date information. "Get It While It's Hot!" beats "Last Month Was April" type news.

How hard can it be to pull up the Origin Store code for UO purchases and change the code for where the ( - hyphens) are placed... Good lord, the people in charge of managing the code for that site really need to either: A) Get a freekin' clue or B) Take some basic lessons in whatever language they're using for that code... This is just silly.

QFT. These things should not be posted on a third-party forum but on the actual UO.com website. It's nice that they're here, too, but the website is the A #1 place to put this kind of thing.

Also, if the store isn't working, TAKE IT DOWN! I have the urge to go buy something just so I can call and yell at you for knowing the store is broken and not taking it offline while you fix it. Also... I want to buy a Soulstone... so.. 'ya know.

It's funny how the official UO Store doesn't work, but I can gurantee 100% that the Gold Farmers websites are probably active and ready. Perhaps we should have them become the official unofficial store for Origin (as Stratics is the official unofficial forum / help site of UO). Kinda' makes you wonder </troll>

No EA doesn't want your money, but don't worry 99% of the payer base will think this is okay since a post was made on stratics.

Someone in guild just said I could edit the code to the right format and it works. Too afraid to waste money on it though. I really love UO. Thanks for keeping it up... To quote a meme... Now shut up and take my money! :whip:

You can edit the code to work the problem now is the website isn't sending you the confirmation email with the code. So if you don't get the code right when you purchase on the web and SAVE it.. then you won't have a code to edit.

Regarding them posting this stuff to the login screen: Yes, they should. However for awhile there they were doing much better about putting stuff from UO.com onto the login screen, and we unfortunately didn't really notice. Instead you got dudes arguing even MORE should be posted there. Doesn't mean they shouldn't put the stuff there I've unambiguously said, in this very post, that they should. Rather it means that we're probably why they stopped.

Well, considering the RSS-Feed brings it here IF it's posted on UO.com, why would they bother posting here first ? Everything (UO-Related News) should be posted on UO.com & the UO Patch screen first, and there shouldn't be ANY exceptions to that E V E R...

I know the dev team doesn't run the Origin store, but it shouldn't even be possible to purchase UO Items/codes w/e, while you don't get the proper email, or the codes aren't correctly displayed when you receive them. It's just sloppy & it's not helping UO at all. However I am curious.... Do other EA-MMO's have this same problem If they do, it's no wonder they're mostly known for their "Madden" games... there's minimal "up-keep" for them...

I bought something and thankfully copied everything right then from the website. I didn't even use the email and didn't even check thinking it would just be there for back up. If you go to the store and type in collection, the King's Collection will actually show up. I noticed that when looking it up. It's almost like they don't want our money. Of all the system they have, you'd honestly think this would be the one that would be perfected!

a friend wanted to buy a code a few days ago and still didnt get a code, he needs one to activate his account else the house will decay! told him i get one for him so he can use it til he gets his. so i bought it and wondered why i didnt get the code right away with the purchase confirmation like i did allways. thought no problem i should get it per mail. nope.... and now i found a thread on UOB and this here!

and second... what the hell should one do when in urgent need of a code to save his house??????????!!!!!!!!! he ordered the code right away when i told him his house starts to decay! enough time one would think!

How can I fix his before my castle drops?

Sure, there are also 3rd party websites that sell gametime codes.

I had a problem with my card not being accepted so sent a tweet to Jeff. He pointed me towards http://www.paybycash.com/uo/codelist.php sure it might be a bit more expensive but its an emergency right?
