I have helped mspossi before on the boards. They do play UO and English is not their first language.
If I am understanding correctly, you can use a weapon with low dexterity but it wont swing as fast as a person with higher dexterity. Swing speed increase and Hit Chance Increase items would help on that situation. Pots and I think petals( not sure what you call them) give a +5 in dex.

no it is not .. well I now only use English in this game... but I'm still able to see... hmm... how shall I say... the slang of the language,If you're using a Crossbow (handgun?) then you will probably want dexterity as well as Swing Speed Increase.
I'm guessing English isn't your first language so I'll do my best to keep that in mind and try to suppress my inner troll

especially when we fall into a trap of them, and he's attack you in packs with archers in stealth mode

Sure why not, we already have gun powder for the cannons so, why not muskets! Now there's a thought for a future add-on
