Heh, ask the neighbor, okay fine, someone give me his info so I can get in touch with him.
(Better yet, give me his account info I will log in and do the GMs job of deleting this improperly placed item myself.)
I, like many many others in UO, rarely see any of my neighbors, and I have never seen him to ask him anything.
I think maybe he's playing World of Warcraft? (He just couldn't stand looking at all that crap floating in the air above his castle roof that the prior owner left behind anymore and he had to go.)
Actually I asked if anyone knew him in general chat, and someone said they only knew him from UO Stratics and, that there at least, he seemed to be a royal arse.
Wow, that's a shocker, a royal arse at Stratics...
Stanley, Lexx 1x2, what the robothead says to Stanley there I say to you.
Unlike you, I'm not allowed to post personal attacks here, you'll just have to go use a proxy.
Yes I have considered doing a 'Stanley', elevating gozas and piling items on top to annoy all of my neighbors, just to get enough others yelping about the problem so the dev (yes I think there's only one dev left) is forced to correct it. (As one duper of mythic tokens said in general chat on Atlantic, he flooded the market with tokens to draw attention to them being duped so something would be done about it.)
Two wrongs don't make a right, as my mama liked to say.
Also, I just don't really care enough anymore to do the work I think.
Funny thing is about 35 days ago I threatened to give my sub to Blizzard because I kept getting an error when attempting to change my Mythic login password.
I had a trojan /virus on my computer and before I entered my new debit card info to reactivate my account I wanted to change all passwords associated with it.
Changed my gmail password, changed my uo account login password, no problems.
Tried every way to make sure it wasn't some issue on my end but ERROR ERROR ERROR, no dice changing my Mythic login password.
5 days of headaches and sending feedback and finally I figured out a workaround, I bought a month's game time from Origin. My state charges tax, so I was pleasantly surprised to learn that buying a code from Origin was cheaper by 40-50 cents than subbing with my debit card. (Somehow seems wrong though doesn't it?)
The only reason I bothered wasting those 5 days of headaches was because Origin had had a half price sale and I wanted to apply the SA upgrade that I had purchased to one of my accounts that needed it (I have 8 accounts).
I bet if I went right now and tried to change my Mythic login password I'd still get an ERROR and not be able to because 30 days later it still hasn't been fixed. Like MyUO, it's been how long? 3 years? Still not fixed.
Also, I can see the irony of not just subbing to WoW last month as I threatened to.
I wouldn't have wasted the past 4-5 days worth of headaches over the neighbor's giant pink fuzz invasion because I would never have activated this account and it would have zero houses on it for neighbors to invade with their giant pink fuzzes.
This experience does however make it the choice easier when I can't decide which I'd rather play, UO or WoW.
So thanks everybody, dev, and GM included, for that at least.
