Has EA games dropped UO?? Dont panic only were no longer on the website?

Just been browsing EA games website..and i could not find ULTIMA ONLNE on there....no listing under pc games ...etc etc.....wowza...yet theres some right crap other games listed...have they dropped the oldest multiplayer game for the likes of the sims and cannon fodder like that??? tell me iam wrong....plz...

EA hasn't dropped UO. All the UO related stuff is on the Origin site. It has been that way for a while now.

Either type Ultima Online in the search bar, or choose "Legacy" as the release date.

Actually I run my own very successful Photography Studio and its been very successful for the last 12 years and to get a business to be as successful as mine you will find that I need to put around 16 hours a day into it. You would be lucky if I can put more than 7 hours a week into playing UO. So don’t give the crap about being able to play 24/7. Being able to brows the web on my Ipad any time of the day is a benefit of running my own business.

Was just sad that a couple of folks at work were asking about this mysterious online game.....Ultima Online....they have never heard of it...alas they are a couple of the young lads at work... and wether it was worth a look at.....i tried to explain the game .. But in the end said just go to the game makers site EA Games [http://www.ea.com/uk] and you will see some screen shots etc etc....Alas the next day they told me the game didnt even exist [LOL]....when i checked for myself they were right..no Ultima on the EA Site.....I shall tell them to go the mythic site [http://www.mythicentertainment.com/]...though the chance of snagging a couple of new players to have a look in.... has i think fell by the wayside at the first hurdle....nevermind...

Do you see WoW on the Activision front page? No, because they have their own site that people use.

When it comes to world of digital entertaiment, InternationalMegaCorporation.com is not an adress the international mega corporation wants you to visit or use or remember. They are the ones who have spend last..what, 10 years thinking of ways to *** with consumers. In ugly world of AAA video game mega corps, more disconnected brand of product is from the corp behind the product, better it is for the corp. There are some PR victories like Steam or (old) Blizzard where this does not apply. Then you have comppanies like EA or Microsoft where it most assuredly applies.

Bottomline, nobody cares what is happening at EA.com. Site is poorly maintained and EA does not want or expect anyone to actually use it for anything at all. It is a bad place to search for signs of impending demise.

I don't see why you're getting so upset though, no one is saying "Hey idiot, who cares!" I think most people are confused to why you would give ea.com to someone so they could learn about the game. Heck uo guide.com or stratics would have been a better choice. Nevermind the fact the UO.com is the games official website. But I agree no need to get post counts on the thread..:moving along:
