Holy Mythic Tokens Batman

Other day I logged on my favorite search engine in search of a Mythic token.
I needed one because im rich and lazy lets face it and someone obviously needs gold.

But to my shock what was 75 mil yesterday today was 40 mil.
Since I was the early bird in this situation (it was way early) and I again am not poor I was like OMG,
and then proceeded to buy 5 tokens, pretty much all that was listed on great lakes.
I then check atlantic and what the, Mythic tokens there too, for 40 mil. Im like guys 35 mil off? BUY

So since I had been up all night I go to bed, wake up and check and bam, all the tokens I bought on Great Lakes
have been fully restocked, and now the tokens on Atlantic are 38 mil now 37 mil off.
Also every time I log on Siege I have some SL people spamming in chat every day selling Mythics.

Now im not saying somethings going on, but lets face it, if you are trying to buy Mythic items to
resell for gold I wouldn't recommend a Mythic token at this point, as its lesser counterpart the transfer token
which costs less, now sells for more.

Check again... one vendor on Altantic has them for 25m and usually keeps one or two in stock. Rumors are around about a rather large cache of them being in an IDOC. *shrugs* Being spammed in gen chat 4 for 120 or so a little while ago.

So it is now cheaper to buy a Mythic token in game then it is for an advanced character token.
Yet you get so much more.

Comparing gold to cash and saying it's cheaper to buy in game? I am befuddled. Is there a standard of gold to cash ratio? I never went out buying tokens in game, but then I've never been rich in game either.

He is saying both tokens can be bought in origin store, only that the mythic token is 2x more expensive there

seeing as these are new they must have been duped? and player banned, if so you would have thought that the items would have been deleted.
But I thought illegal items could not be stocked on vendors?

I did not say they were not duped... only that 160 of them hit the ground at an IDOC on Atlantic. But nobody in their right mind would buy something for $20 and sell it for 25m in game. To me that definitely points to a dupe at some point. Have already said in a few different posts elsewhere that I (among others) have heard rumblings of a dupe *shrugs*

nothing ever surprises me when it comes to UO....

Yes a stereo bought from the back of a van sounds as good as the one from a store. Just sad there those with the wrong vs right blinders on. Sure the van dealer's kids need to be fed and a roof over their head. And those kids will be raised with the same standards as the bread winner grinding at the store.

Not poor either in game. I just don't support the BS. Then there are those that like to lick the spoon while making NUM NUM noises.

Surely you can see the flaw in your logic here... The kid's raised by the standards of someone who sells stolen goods out of the back of a van will have substantially lower standards than the kids who were raised by the bread winner who grinds at a store. Statistics and studies show that to be true. Those raised by unethical/dishonest people tend to reflect those same unethical/dishonest traits later in life. Kids often look to their parents, see the parents lifestyle choices and attach a "it can't be that bad because my parents do X or Y" type style of thinking. The child tends to emulate and embody those same values... for better or worse.

About 0.20-0.30 per mil.

It used to be fixed at 35 to 1, until Europeans started draining gold reserves (easy shard transfers allowed them to get cheap gold and resell for higher prices at home), prompting Lord British to take UO off the gold standard.

I pay 7mil on Atlantic for every 1 mil on Siege then spend it promptly on soulstone tokens at 7 mil per there.
Technically if someone were just buying the tokens from the store and claiming on Siege, then back redeeming on Atlantic for gold, they are making 49 mil per.
Cheaper and a bigger profit.

It is certainly highly disturbing to see people brazenly selling these tokens on Siege for the same price as a Legacy Token, which is only 40% of the cost.

One vendor this week I saw had a stack of probably over 20 of them for 20m on Atlantic. To answer the question as for why duped tokens can be stocked on vendors EA in thier infinite wisdom made it so if you cancel a token after using it the token is recreated thus laundering the duped tokens akin to how in the past they broke a 1 mil check and made a new one at the bank. If they are that cheap on Siege it must be some dupe that doesn't involve character transfers.
