Invalid Origin store SA upgrade code

I purchased a Stygian Abyss upgrade code 1 week ago and it keeps saying "Invalid Code" when I try to redeem it. I have attempted to re-arrange to code into different blocks as that fixes it for in-game redeemable codes usually but it still wont help.

What in the hell is going on here, am I the only one this is happening to?

I tried to contact EA support and first they told me they couldn't even find my order in their system while its clearly in my order history and a receipt was in my email so I was asked to take a screenshot and upload it within the created ticket to verify the purchase, which I did and by the end nothing was resolved and they had no idea why the code wasn't working.

I tried to email Mesanna to see if there is something she could do to help me and she asked for more info which I promptly sent her and have not heard back from her since, I can only assume she couldn't figure it out and gave up on me.

What options do I have left? I just want the code I paid for or at least my money back. Appreciate any input.

Your not alone and there is issues with the Origin Store... if you call them it should be fixed to your liking , but try your call during business hours Monday.

Do you know of a specific number I can call? I only ever found the "call me" option. Or is that what you are referring to?

The Origin Store has a "help-chat" system that has been pretty good at helping to resolve these. Follow this link and then give a brief description of the issue and someone is usually able to assist you fairly quickly.

I have the feeling you did not just buy the upgrade code. I think you bought a new account code + Stygian Abyss.

There are 2 codes. one is upgrade only . Thats the one you need to buy when you already have a account. The other is upgrade code + 30 days for free. That is NOT a upgrade but a new account with the Expansion. It is very confusion at the Origin Store webpage.

I bought the correct code Frac, its not hard to tell the difference between the two.

I did try to re-arrange the code with the 6-5-5-5-5 blocks but that did not work.

I did do the help chat system the same day I bought the code and they just blew me off basically, said no idea why it was invalid and to email ultima online support.

I'm feeling your pain Smurf. After 10 years away and finally deciding to jump back into the game I purchased a few things from the Store and not a singe code works.

Smurf... just like you.....tonight i brought a "Ultima Online:™ Stygian Abyss Expansion Pack (UPGRADE ONLY)"

and tried to apply it to my account. the account already has game time, just no SA. before anyone asks the title i copied from my confirmation E-mail, i definitely have brought the right code.

i have tried to remove the dashes, i have tried to do the 6-5-5-5-5-5 idea, neither of them work and i cannot apply the code to the account,

little frustrating as i want to start a garg and cannot currently!!

i guess my only option being in the uk is the email support which apparently will take upto 48hrs

yet another victim of the crappy code system

Exact same thing happened to me today. After about an hour a received a call back from customer service, but they were unable to help. They told me the issue would be escalated and I would receive an email back with instructions of how to fix. Unfortunately he could not give me a time frame either.

Considering the uo store generates real cash income you would think they would fix it once an for all.

Pretty poor in all honesty.

Wish i was a usa customer as i might have it escilated by now too. Ill likely ger an email responce in two days not addressunf the issue anyway, then back into the loop i go ;)

I have always felt sorry for anyone going through account code issues or acees to accounts cause it is pretty frustrating.

This has happened before to me, si im not suprised which is sad in its self really that you actually expect as a customer the system to fail and that be normal.

Mine is just a code how do returning customers trying to get accounts feell, im suprised they bother. :)

Well, im pleasently supprised on the turn around time. my issue has now been resolved over E-mail.

and it should be noted, at first i didnt supply details to confirm my ownership. (silly me...)

then i suppiled one out of ten wrong,

since then ive corrected my mistake,

and now it is fixed and the code is now applied.

so 3 individual exchanges across email and the problem has been resolved within 20 hours!! (could of been 5 hrs if i provided all relevent information in the first place...)

[edit] funny enough, the additional time it gave me to properly analyse throwers vs archers since pub81 shows that actually archers are now on par if not better than a garg thrower... so all in all im happy on all fronts, now my archer has full access to the lands, an i plan to convert my tamer bard to a garg for speed of flight only!!
