Please Spawn More Sand Vortex in Malas Around Gravewater Lake.

Can we please rally for more Sand Vortex to spawn in the deserts around the area of Grave Water Lake?

This is such a large desert for such a low density of Sand Vortex's.

it would be nice to see more then 1 or 2 out here.

Why more? To torture and pester or even kill poor fisherfolk who are trying to get fish for their quests or a very difficult to catch Zombie fish? Or is there something special in the loot of the Sand Vortex?

As someone who has done a bit of fishing over the years, I have to say no to the pesky sand vortex.

More deserts have sand vortexes. Compassion desert and the desert in the middle of Illshenar if i remeber right. Finding one, if you only want to take a picture for the Elwood-quests, in Malas can take some time.

Here is why "All of my Map runes are For Malas"

I would like to do more T-maps in Malas, level 4 to make tattered maps, other then the 2 or 3 Sand vortex the only place to get a Malas lv4 T-MAP is off a Devourer of Souls, (Ravagers and again these guys are in Doom as well) & the Wander of the Void.

And in doom, this a tough battle enough as it is. go try and work some Ravagers or Devourer of Souls to make a lv 4 Malas T-map spawn in doom. you will see how hard it is.

ASfor a Wander of the Void, Well the information is un clear, one page says lv 4 other page says lv 3. and honestly I cant say I every saw a Wander of the Void in Malas or Doom.

I think the rate is just fine. I don't typically have too much problem finding one.

Really? your luck much be must better then mine, I hunt for them in the deserts of Malas that are around grave water lake daily. This is on Sonoma.
perhaps I need to stay closer to the lake vs. going all the way out into the sand areas.

Again this is only on Sonoma where I am finding a lack of Sand Vortex that do not seem to be plentiful.

I will spend more time hunting around the lake vs. out in the sands

You could also dig up a lot of level 3 maps as some of them will have a level 4 map in the chest. I don't know how easy it is to get a Malas level 3 though

From looking at the listed monsters at http://uo2.stratics.com/skill-guides/skills-and-professions/treasure-map-quests Sand Vortex, Devourer of Souls and Wanderer of the Void spawn in Malas and Doom. Additionally each Guardin of a lvl 4 in Malas has the chance to spawn additionally maps. Aside from that you could hunt in the guardian room in Doom to get lvl 3's and hope for a lvl 4 inside the chest. or you could hunt for lvl3-map-paragons to get lvl 4 chests (cyclops for example) and try to swap maps for other facets with other players from your realm. Some of the guardians from lvl 5 maps kann spawn lvl 4 maps, too. Actually doing lvl 5 maps is not much more difficult than doing lvl 4's.
Hunting for specific t-maps is always a problem, becourse the drop rate of the maps is usually very low. If you need lvl 4 maps to gain on them for lockpicking and/or cartho, you can gain on lvl 3's as well.

It really had not crossed my mind that lv3 T-maps would have lv4 T-maps in till you 2 mentioned it.

Need level 3's to get to 4 malas I'd suggest the dark guardian room in doom. They always drop a map level 1-3. they spawn 2 for every person or tamed
in the room which if done right can produce large quantities of maps fairly quickly.
