Bod Counts

Ok, out of morbid curiosity - I decided to tally up by bods on 2 of the 4 shards I collect bods.
Great Lakes - 26,343 bods in 311 diff bod books
Asian Shard - 6,793 in 78 diff bod books

Now, can we please get :

• Alpha Sort option in Bod books?
• Abilty to take out/add to bod books while locked down like transcendence books?
• Higher storage rate in bod books? (3k like davies locker instead of 500 per book)
• Higher rate of compression? (1 lockdown per 5 bods however transcendence book is 1 lockdown for 300 scrolls- how about 100/1 for bods?)
• Ability to 'price all' based on whatever filter is currently selected in the book?

I have asked that they be given the same as the pink books 1 stone 1 item count... IT's Stupid to keep them at 4/1 ratio lock down.
My tailor has to strip down to her skivvies and pup it all in her bug to get some of the bods out of the full books!!! This is not right....
Her lack of clothes aside... this is down right crazy.. 1 lock down/1 item count useable in and out of pack locked down set like you do everything else...
It's about time....

I'd like to see a change to that as well.... though my BoD count on my shards I play more often is 0 and 20ish?

I'm looking to getting more on shard #2 but will never again do BoD's on the other shard. But I think it would be good to have less lockdowns for sure. I'm always in favor of space reduction.

Ahhhh...... when you turn in some stuff.... you get them back.. unless you combine into larges but then again .... some are not worth doing into them... better to do and turn in and get others... hence the large bod counts... sooo its not easy to reduce as you suggest.
The best is as I suggested.. would make tons of sense.

Now you know you ask theese things and they will do another. Tink, Fletcher, Cooking, Carp and Mason/Glassblowing BODs will be added to the fun. My priority would be an update to the current reward list. If they were worth doing again the collections would shrink. No need for those fancy other needs except the lockdown feature and blanket pricing.

You just need to be ruthless and get rid of BODs that give low end rewards like Powerscrolls, DC hammers etc. Could probably shave off at least 10k that way.

If you have books and books of BODs you know you will never fill, why not check around and see if you can give them to a guild on your shard that helps new or returning players? Or fill the BODs that give the power scrolls and donate them to such a guild? Or put the "useless" ones on a vendor in a busy shop and sell them cheap? What good does hoarding something you consider useless do you at this point? If you give them away or sell them cheaply to someone else who has the time and resources to fill them, how can that possibly diminish your enjoyment of UO? Sure, you won't have anymore something that has about a 0.1% chance in another five years of being added to the spring cleaning system, but then again, what in the spring cleaning system is so excruciatingly awesome that you just couldn't bear to not play if you didn't have it? Or maybe if the devs ever get around to revamping BOD rewards, you might not be able to claim some. But do you honestly think that a revamp of the BOD reward system is actually going to add anything decent to the game that you can get in return for handing in virtual junk? They would be crazy to do that.

Just get rid of them in some way and quit stressing over the unmet potential of all those unfilled BODs. They just aren't worth it.

You must be new here. Bods can be bribed up to higher rewards so lower bods are just as valuable. The problem is you can only bribe so many bods per day as the NPC's stop taking bribe attempts. After making my way around 6, 7 diff cities and all the NPC's are done bribing for the day - I have to wait until tomorrow. That bod that gives a low end PS can also be bribed up for val hammers and the like.

Trust me - I've thrown out a few thousand 'junk' ones like Bone bods, iron weapon larges etc. However, the rest are still worth doing but most require some bribing which is a HUGE bottleneck in getting alot of these done.

Also out of that 26,000 I have about 2,000 of those completed smalls ready to turn in for another bod but that takes time too. The delay they put in for turning in a bod was stupid and hurts that process not to mention the lack of ability to 'refuse' rewards. Every so often I have to stop and empty my pack of shovels, pickaxes, cloth etc.

Its funny how non bod people come here to offer suggestions. Any 'true' bod player has 5k or more bods.

I disagree. I probably have 100 million or more in potential rewards from my bod collection.
I have a book with 150 completed larges for spined kits alone - I store them in a book because its less lockdowns than the kit - 100k each for 15m right there. They are worth it - its just a PITA storing them and sorting them because of simple features that could be added with a developer in his lunch break. Meanwhile we have all hands on deck working on vice vs virtue which will be another collosal fail.

Also - I've posted this a month or more ago in the Developer Suggestion thread. I posted like 8 roups of things to address and my posts have some of the highest 'like' counts in the thread yet not a single one was in the last release nor discussed for a future release. I deem this thread totally worthless Petra.

Any attempt to provide feedback to the Dev team is a waste of our time.

Well the main reason I don't toss them out is in the hopes the Dev are thinking of redoing the rewards... this will make some bods usefull... I hope.
As for giving them to young, I give good ones to them not garbage.... As for number of bods.... well... if you add in Cats, Oceania, Baja, Sonoma, Napa, Pac, Origin, Hokuto, Izumo, oh and every other shard I have a book full on .... EVEN if they made it 1 stone/1 lockdown id need 3 tailors to hold all with empty packs. And yes I work them constantly.. made 200 powder of fort a few days ago.... and a bag full of various sewing kits 5 or 6 green ones and 25 or 30 blue and a handful of red ones.... so I do use my bods thank you.

PS my miner is stuffed with equipment.... and I gave son a big bag of hammers ... pesky dull hammers though I did get a handful of shadow, copper and bronze.

76 BOD holding vendors, each vendor holds up to 600 BODs, for a little over 45K BODs. We are hoarders, LOL.

'Non BOD people'? Haha! I'm sorry that my collection hasn't ballooned to gross proportions because I manage my BODs effectively instead of sitting on thousands of 'potential' rewards that really aren't worth the time and effort to bribe up, please don't revoke my BOD card I'm a TRUE BOD PLAYER I swear!

I can go with all of those. Would be wonderful to be able to interact with the book while it is locked down. Having it be 5 itmes off lockdowns versus 100 would be SOOOO much nicer as well. Just recently got back into BODs and I remember why I stopped. Its such a pain to interact with them.

If I had anything though. Just the compression rate would make my day!
