Help with old account.

Hello,
I've recently decided to reactivate my old accounts and start playing UO again.
Two of my side accounts have linked up no problem to my Mythic account.
My problem is when I try to link my main account it says "Account not found".
I did the live chat thing with an EA rep and he couldn't help and told me to E-mail the UO team directly. Which I did last week.
I haven't heard anything from them yet.
Has anyone else had this problem? Is my account gone?

I made them find mine a year our so ago. It started with email, went to live chat, then phone calls. After a couple weeks they tracked down all my old accounts and gave me 90 days game time on my main as an apology. It takes a lot of nagging it seems to get this task accomplished. Good luck.

Not sure if this helps, and maybe someone who has a better memory can help, but the old UO account system went through a change that affected account names. I think it added something like a "UO_" prefix. That is, it turned "MyUOaccount" into "UO_MyUOaccount". Maybe it can be found under that name.

Anyone remember the details of this?

Also, if you happen to have kept your original game box and disk, there is a serial number on the disk that can be used to retrieve an old account. Worked for me once.

Sometimes it's UO_YourAccount But usually it's "youraccount_uo" And that will get it found.

Wish you the best of luck... however if you still have troubles and even customer service can't help you then do what I did recently and write to the Board of Directors of EA. You can email them at StockholderCommunications at EA dot com.

I got rather sick of stuff and thought well... I think it's high time they hear from some of us about how we like our game and want them to put resources BACK into our game so I wrote them a quite lengthy letter... and actually got a nice reply from a Kyle Cooper... Whom I'm sure is some sort of intern or whatever but doesn't hurt to let them know how you feel.

However I will say this their mail is screened by people beforehand so keep it civil if you write them. But I did write them and let them know how unhappy I was with the current state of things and the lack of customer support.

May I add in try to gather any and all information you have about the account such as :
Account name, the Credit card used on the account(this will help them trace it through past billing, even if the card is long dead the number will help greatly),if you have the original CD key code this can be of great help as well.
Date of last paid month might help too.
This should be EVERYONE"S way of keeping track of any and all subscriptions is to keep a file of all account information. You would be surprised on how handy this information can be if you ever need help on any game or site you play on.

Seems like just the person we need to contact more often and in greater numbers to perhaps shine some light on our beloved game. Thinking he sounds like just to guy to go to.
