A disturbing rumor has begun circulating in Vesper, and I can only imagine that other towns are experiencing similar unrest. Several Vesper locals have been gathering in the Marsh Hall, our local tavern, to discuss their growing dissatisfaction with what they consider to be excessive taxation of their hard-earned city funds.
More worrisome still is that apparently, Vesper is not the only site of such whisperings. I happened upon Governor Angelica of Britain at Luna Bank this afternoon, and a brief chat with her revealed that similar sentiments are floating around Britain. Many there are concerned that the trade agreements have already become the domain of the privileged wealthy, whether they be governors or private citizens.
With Se'an Silverfoot reporting that Jhelom Governor Sherry Shar is holding off making any trade agreement at all due to the high cost and the fact that Governor Gareth of New Magincia has already had to infuse cash-strapped Yew and Minoc with funding for their trade agreements, I can't help but wonder if these restless citizens have a point. However, none have directly approached me as yet. I can only hope that they reach out to their elected governors rather than taking matters into their own hands...
