UO Link broken

I found myself look at the page call A Career Patch in Gaming. I don't care about a career, just want to play. So I can just assume that UO have once again moving is host. Nothing worst that have multiple link to UO page that I visit often and not of them wok and now the want me to enter a password. this is just an page that no lounger their http://uo.stratics.com/hunters/index.shtml Don't any one have the same problem.

We are sorry that you found a non-working link. Shamus Turlough is working hard to make sure all our links and information has been transferred to new servers. Most of the forum links should be working now, but you may find a redirect on the main site here and there. Thank you for pointing it out to us. We will get it fixed as soon as possible!

We're migrating. We posted forum notices, threads/posts, Facebook posts, Twitter posts...but our messages aren't universal, unfortunately.

During the transition, we will continue to have some bugs to work through. Sorry you've been having trouble. Thanks for your patience!

Just navigate to the new address (as you clearly have), then change the address in your bookmark...

Migration or not, the inclusion of "A Career Path in Gaming" in every single page title as a tagline is probably the stupidest thing I've seen on a gaming/gaming forum site. Is Stratics turning primarily into a job board now or something? It just makes no sense.

That is not a tagline as much as it is a vision. So many of our staff have used their experience in Stratics as a launching point to careers in the gaming industry. We actively encourage this. It makes perfect sense to those who see it happen.

That's wonderful for them. Most of your users aren't staff though and have no interest in becoming staff or embarking on a "career path in gaming." Like I said, this is a gaming site not a job board. Quite why you feel the need to make the focal point of your "vision" the experience of a handful of people I'm not sure. Personally I'd have picked a more universal point to focus on which was relevant to the majority of users, something like "Stratics: Bringing Gamers Together", but less lame.

It's not a big deal anyway, I just personally find it bizarre that you've felt the need to brand every single page's title with this particular phrase that's all. Just seems a bit silly to me. It's a bit like Coca-Cola printing "A Career Path in the Beverage Industry" prominently on the front of every Coke can. Most would be like: Uhh, okay?

Clear browser history
Delete cookies and other site and plug-in data
Empty the cache.


I was just now able to log into stratics and kept getting the same not found error for EVERY stratics related page. Once i cleared history/cache/cookies, all is well again.

I did clear all cache and cookies and now it works for me only under Mozilla Firefox, still not able to enter Stratics with Internet Explorer. I have windows 7 and Internet Explorer 10.

Edit: Ok now after cleaning all cache memories and cookies from internet, and after rebooting, it now works on Internet Explorer also

The portal is still in transition, guys. There's a lot of old data to integrate w/ new software, so it'll just take a little time.

Meanwhile, I hope the forums feel faster. According to speed tests, they're over 20 times faster than on the old host!
