Greetings friends! I am Riyana, ward and friend of the Lady Ivy, and I have volunteered to serve as her campaign manager in her bid for the office of Governor of Vesper. Ivy has long kept a low profile, but she is a lifelong citizen of Vesper and has high hopes to revitalize the city.
Below is her full platform. You may also visit her campaign headquarters just over the northwestern Vesper bridge (between the bank and the shortest route to the Minoc moongate) for more information. You may obtain a free copy of this platform proposal from the vendor located at the campaign headquarters.
Thanks for looking and happy voting!

Platform Proposal for the City of Vesper
by Ivy Covedweller
As a lifelong devoted citizen of Vesper, I have watched our city slowly fall out of favor--first to larger Britain, then to more compact and home-accessible Luna. However, I believe that we have been and remain to this day a great city with much to offer. I hereby offer the following proposals for bringing commerce and activity back to Vesper, which I shall make every effort to institute should I be elected governor:
1. I shall hold weekly town meetings (exact time and location to be determined) at which I will grant town titles as seen proper and fit. I will grant any reasonable title (nothing vulgar, racist, or sexist, no alternation or all caps, and nothing that duplicates or undermines any town or ingame positions). At these meetings I will take questions and address concerns of Vesper citizens to the best of my ability.
2. I shall maintain close ties with and attempt to form a mutual defense pact with our sister towns of Minoc and Cove. We are far from the capitol city of Britain, and in the event of invasion or other emergency, land reinforcements could potentially be slowed or stopped at any of several choke points along the way. Due to our proximity to the Covetous Dungeon, the Orc Fort outside Cove, and the Buccaneer's Den gate, I feel that a strong and stable alliance between our three towns is a prudent precaution.
3. On a related note, I shall appoint emissaries to each of our fellow loyalty cities. These emissaries will work to create positive relationships between Vesper and other Britannian cities.
4. I shall determine what, if any, trade agreement Vesper will pursue by way of citizens' vote.
5. I shall conduct city-wide events both to raise money for the city fund and to bring tourists to Vesper. I shall encourage citizens and non-citizens alike to bring their own events to Vesper as well.
6. I shall petition Lord Blackthorn to allow the construction of a stable in Vesper. We are a large enough city to support one, and Vesper would gain a functionality it has sorely lacked.
7. I shall also petition Lord Blackthorn and the powers of the realm to decorate our barren bank as they have for Britain, Luna, and other smaller towns. Honestly--we pay our taxes, and no decorations?! Vesper is as deserving as any other city, and a beautification effort could help stimulate the area.
While I cannot promise that all of these goals will be met, I can and do solemnly promise that I will do everything in my power to see that they are. I would also love to hear from you, my fellow citizens! Do you have an idea for our beautiful city? Perhaps some thoughts on how to revitalize our museum, or perhaps you'd just like someone to haul Kendrick Morrow's corpse out of Mornwok Estate already? Let me know! Leave me a message on my message board (located in my campaign headquarters across the western bridge between the bank and the moongate, coordinates 80o42'N, 104o16'E), in my mailbox at my campaign headquarters, or contact me on ICQ at 123498286 or by email at [email protected]. Thank you for your time, and please consider voting for me, Ivy, for governor of Vesper during the first week of June.
