Will we ever be able to use SOTS on PETS like we can on ourselves?

I thought it'd be a cool idea... Will we ever be able to use SoTs (Scroll of Transcendence) on our pets like we do on our characters?

Personally I'd rather be able to give them powerscrolls.

I'd actually like to anything to enhance a pet,to balance it out they could make it an age thing, for example a white wyrm you've had for 3 years gains something perhaps loyalty and needs less taming to control, an age buff too stats also

Drake - Dragon - Greater Dragon. Based on the stats of theese critters should reflect the number of slots they take up. So So WW should be only two slots. So So drake taking up one slot would be my cup of tea. So So GD would take up 4 slots allowing the tamer to cruz on a swampy. Lower 25% in stats would be one less slot. 3 slot WW and 2 slot WW would make a cool team. In this day and age where a wrong lizardman can take down a nightmare in a fair fight.

Feeding mining & smith SoTs to a fire beetle improves your smelting chance. Hoard minion arwork reworked with a giant beaver new pet. Picks up logs and turn them into boards based on their carp and jacking skill. Still 400 stone limit carry. Then new monsters of the greater corpser and reaper class that have rare wood chance. Even random rarewood on treefolk would work. Swordsman hunting with a giant beaver sounds less boring then a mage with a jackass lost in the woods.

I think an appropriate 16th year vet reward would be an account based bottle of pet bonding potion with unlimited uses.

That way I can always have a nice ride while doing all my shard xfers

I'm not sure I see a need for SOTs or even PS for pets. Sure, some different cool special moves or abilities if they weren't unbalanced. Read: " no GD level stuff"

Training pets is easy, I'm not sure the extra coding is really necessary for tamers. Better to improve specific pets overall in particular ways to make them more appealing. But not in the "MOAR POWER" way, just a bit of a spring clean.

Now I wouldn't mind my old WWs getting something for their age, but I'd happily settle for something like the trick dreads do but with ice. Or some proper ice breath. I'm sure after living in Ice for a decade their breath should have frozen, y'know? :D

A more complex taming system could be interesting..

All pets start at 1 pet slot and can be fed pet scrolls/buffs

Based on a percentage slot system

Tamed Strength - 1 slot

25% strength- 2 slots

50% strength- 3 slots

75% strength- 4 slots

100% strength - 5 slots

At 100% strength some pets will still be a bit stronger than others examples
Greater Drag
Dread Warhorse

But for people wanting to run a 5 slot WW or a 3 Slot WW and a 2 slot GD.. Or vice versa..the combinations are essentially endless..

Even considering no changes to pets slots, skill caps, or pet power I think I would be great to be able to feed pets SoT for skill gains. Drop a 5.0 healing on a Cu to get from 95 to GM healing, etc etc.

I see no downside to allowing this type of change.

Lol. I tamed my WW, Hades, the first week that T2A came out. I've had him for about 180 Sosarian Years. Wouldn't mind him being upgraded to an "Ancient White Wyrm" that's equivalent to one of the Frost Dragons that pop out of Lvl 7 T-Chests.

OMG Please..... NO changes to pet slots. Think abt what ur saying.o_O You know exactly how that would go. Every tamer logs on after the patch and half of us will have empty stables. Any changes to pets hold the distinct possibility that they'll get deleted and UO policy 'We do not replace items lost" even if its through a bug/glitch of their own making. I really don't want to deal with anymore reverts either, ty.
