The things take more ebolts than a greater dragon to get down to 1/3 health where they maintain themselves with Heal spells as the GD's do. Can't find them in the Monster Guide pages here or on UOGuide. What do you have to use on them to turn the frustration into fun?

There's no slayers for those, and they're are extremely boring, non-rewarding fights.
When they were within city limits, I used to fight them with a well timed paralyze, explosion, paralyze combo. Took forever to kill them.

I'm sorry they're human rather than humanoid, as such animal lore can not be used on them

Use a fencer. Disarm the melee fighters and dispose of them as you will. The mages start out gangbusters, but after their mana pool depletes it becomes simpler. A poisoner can keep them busy using that reduced pool on defense. Throw in a bleed attack or mortal wound. They are bloody hell on mages, though.

I have some living just across the road from one of my homes. So I sometimes just run over with my peace tamer and use a nightmare and an EV to kill them. It only takes 2-3 minutes to take down a pair of them, although I sometimes have to peace them at the very end when they start to try to wander off, just to get them to stand still.

I just fight them with my blade of insanity one a time with my pure warrior. Not realy that hard one a time. :)
