Shameless plug for Flutter and TheLostLands. EXCELLENT forums.

UOForums is another one, Thank you Adam.

And we can't forget UOGuide thanks to JC, an excellent source of information. Not a forum but packed with info.

Heh, I wanted to check out Lost Lands but I seem to be caught in a never ending authentication loop with their system, so I finally gave up.

The Stratics forums were the only game forums I really used for UO, but I have enjoyed browsing UOForums.com since the original Stratics boards went offline. Seems like a nice community there, and well run boards.

For WoW I read Allakhazam.com, & Thottbot, but the forums can be really juvenile, and mostly I just use their database lookup features. The forums at TenTonHammer seemed pretty good I just don't want to devote the time to another set of forums. The Blizzard official forums are off the charts for juvenile, non productive posting, and other than the class and profession forums are pretty useless IMO for learning about the actual game.

Yes I realize that...I also realize that 3 of those sites I mentioned are large MMORPG gaming/forum sites with many branches just like Stratics one of which includes WoW, and thought after I answered the UO forum question, people might be interested in the additional info for gaming resources. Deal with it.

stratics
uoforums.com
eldersofsosaria.net
uof-uo.com

The last two are large active pvp centered forums. I wouldnt visit them with a weak constitution though, and dont blame me for what happens if you try to post there...

I use UOguide on my breaks at work.

I would like to thank all the people that maintain these sites and forums and contribute to them. It is a major task and a serious work. It is what historians and librarians do. Without these sites, many new players could do very little in terms of understanding how the game works (From everything from crafting to Damage Increase). UO is not able to keep up with it and I would say that players have done a better job. As a user I thank those site managers and chastise myself for being as lazy as I am.

That is correct, the MyUO boards are no more. I used to read them religiously, but the company claimed it took too much man-, woman-, person-power to moderate them properly, so Stratics was named as the 'official' forum.

I'm sure they could have recruited some fine folk to be volunteer moderators as we have here.

UO community forums other than Stratics? The Lost Lands. Ultimate Online Forums (aka UOForums.com). My guild & alliance forum. The GXB/UOT support forum (no one uses it though). ;)

Haven't been to Tradespot in a long time... how is the activity there?

Well like everyone else I visit UOForums to see what is going on over there. If there is something interesting I hear of on The Lost Lands I will stop by there too. Plus at times I also sneak into The Roleplayers Ring to see what is going on with the RP community on Catskills. It is my belief that as a Stratics Reporter I should stay on top of everything I can that is taking place on the shard I am covering.
I also use and refer fellow players to UOGuide for information if Stratics does not cover it very well or is a bit outdated with our information. Though at those times I feel like a guy who is cheating on his girlfriend. I would prefer to refer players to links on Stratics when I can, but that is not always possible.
I also try and follow what is going on with all the other MMORPGs by reading mmorpg.com when I can. ( Thats where I discovered two wonderful online comics that I enjoy reading. The Noob who makes fun of MMORPGs, and my favorite Looking For Group (LFG) that has a undead warlock named Richard in it that makes me laugh so hard with his antics.)
