Any word when u will be turning RTB/Bugged house decay back on?

Well i k now everyone wished for it....and yes it started....houses were decaying 10 a day per shard... Then people started to panic... and the devs iam guessing stopped the rot.... so quite simply.... are u gonna restart the decay for all the rest of the still standing RTBs...and Trial account placed houses ... and Unnamed/no owner houses that plaque our shards.... can we finish what u started please..........

if your finding OSI houses that have been there for a looong time then you need to report it or email to messana. I assume they were having to do each house individually so if a house got missed its because no one reported it. amazing how a few harmless empty houses send people into a tizzy. OSI owned/rtb/bugged whatever ya wanna call em, you report them and they will get to them. if not reported they most likely wont get found by a wandering gm/dev. you havent stated if you or any of your idocer buddys have reported the houses in particular, if not then stop postin here for a minute and report them so something can be done.

I do not believe that they "turned off" the bugged house decay, it is more the case that the mechanism that was used to catch the previous ones did not work for all of them and they would have to think of something else to get the rest.

But THP is right in that it seems that only about half the bugged plots were actually removed. The 320 something houses on Siege that I had logged in my "potentially bugged" spreadsheet prior to the big collapse are now down to 173. Not all of those are bugged, they are just ones that I cannot eliminate yet due to them having decayed, changed hands, been customized or I am certain the house owner has been active. But of those I am pretty certain that 100-150 are bugged. The only other explanation is that a very large amount are grandfathered plots owned by players who have not actively played on the shard for years.

And Mesanna alone cannot remove all these plots as she simply does not have the time given that she has to check the house and then the account database for each individually. I emailed her a week ago and asked her to look into a few dirt plots which are both an eyesore and blocking key spots on the shard but she evidently has not had a chance to do it.

What Hoffs said. All of the RTB houses I and others I know had did fall. What is left are houses otherwise bugged be it trial accounts that placed and were never active so didn't decay or one of probably half a dozen other housing screw ups over 14 years.

They probably figure the game is so dead anyway why bother spending their limited time cleaning up the messes in game made by past employees. Hell it took over 6 years of pointing out every Return to Brit how it was filling up the servers with unpaid for housing before they finally fixed it.

What they don't get is a lot of people have houses just with the hopes of making them bigger, but when they see them not getting fixed they stop and let a smaller house go where they would keep the account open for a castle.

I have seen only a scant few unowned RTB homes so far..
My guess is the Dev have bigger fish to fry and less people to do it with.
So its on their to do list.
I understand Claudia's point, some have been waiting for a long time for them to poof when they have been blocking placement forever it seems.

All I know is they certainly removed a heck of a lot of bugged houses a while back, the ones I knew of are all gone. Those that exist could be overlooked ones, newly bugged houses, or even houses that really are owned by active accounts. But alas, tis only speculation, all we really can do. Maybe they will take another huge swipe at them in the near future, the first one was rather unexpected...

No, the houses with no owner lines are houses from accounts that were banned by GMs in the early years of UO and lost by the system. Grandfathered houses act and look like any other house. These ownerless banned ones say private but you can walk on the steps long enough to load all the contents of the house unlike normal private houses. Once you can see inside you can tell how old they are due to no contents being newer than the fel/tram split. That's also why 95% of them are in Fel because shortly after the split they changed how they dealt with them.

It's probably been added to that magic "to do" list they devs keep tightly locked away. With the way they always talk about things I would hazard a guess at a couple of years.

I and a friend had once about 30 RTB houses all together.
Remaining now: 0.
All of them either fell or went over to an active account, after going into decay stages.
So from my point of view only the houses from formerly banned accounts (those with blank name line) remain as bugged, but I hesitate to report them, if they would simply go deleted without a chance to recover any historical stuff, before the items decay.

Errrr what?? ive never quit UO.....ive tried other games at the same time...but never quit.....ive no idea how guild wars is doing either..i just know how UO is doing...and its baasically ''treading water''...the populous is getting less and less and the lands are ......''still littered with bugged houses''...that i would like [as do many others] be removed from the game once and for all....

I hope the devs ''finish the job'' they started...and dont leave it 70% done...would be nice to see houses only for playing/paying accounts be it the 90 day way or whatever....just houses that are owned by ACTIVE players....
