Looks pretty, but what I like about UO's crafting is that there isn't a lot of time-consuming animation when crafting. I don't want my character dipping his finger into the bowl every time I cook something. :)

Not sure that will be every time, but the immersion is good,I like the lockpick animation, fishing actually looks enjoyable.

I've been really holding off on looking at any other games, but I have to say I found that video intriguing. Thanks.

I've played crafter/forager for all my time in UO, this new game should definitely be right up my alley. :)

I suspect I'll have to upgrade from AGP video though... :p

ESO will be gorgeous. It looks a lot like Skyrim, and if anyone hasn't played that yet I would really really recommend it. The immersion is incredible. There is an insane amount of content for a single player game. And it packs lots of very well written fiction. As for the look, it is very authentic to me. The look of the buildings and towns are sturdy but not finely crafted. Somewhat rough but represent the tools and craft of the period. Mobs are drawn well and have decent AI. I'll never forget being stalked and ripped to shreds by a Sabre cat in the fields outside of White Run or my first dragon fight. I often visualized UO as having the same look and feel had it been created with the same technology available. When ESO goes live I'll be taking a bit of a break from UO.

Honestly? If UO had came out this year, I probably wouldn't buy it..

I'm keeping an eye on ESO, but not counting on it to be "The Next Big Thing". Sure it comes from a good franchise, and that will carry it, but if there is nothing really that sets it apart from Skyrim as far as quality and mechanics (and I don't mean rehashed mechanics) then I'd rather play Skyrim and not have to listen with all the ******-canoes that typically come with MMO's in the Chat window. I see enough of them in UO, Firefall and SWTOR.

Skyrim's crafting system was really a disappointment after having played UO, and once you could craft higher end items it ruined the looting.

Kinda like UO did.
