Bonded Vollems are MIA

I log out last night with 2 bonded vollems and a bonded goat. I log in this morning, only the goat is with me, but my followers count says 5/5. I log out, and back in. Only the goat is with me and the count has changed to 1/1. I check the stables and no vollems. I believe the problem is due to the fact that my stable limit was at max, while the vollems were in my care,(since you dont need tame/lore). And when whatever happened, happened. The stables wouldn't allow the vollems to go there. I don't know what to do. I paged a GM, but I'm sure these will be considered Lost Items, and well...we all know how that story ends....

Well, thinking it was a stable slots issue. I put tame/lore back on to increase my stable count, nope, no good. The vollems are gone and this is complete BS.....

Try going around in a circle shouting all follow me. Perhaps they just wandered... though it's unlikely. Are you in your house? Sometimes they wind up on another floor though I assume you can't see their bars. Very odd and there have been weird things going on of late with pets. Hope you get them back.

I can't believe I'm out 2 Vollems through absolutely no fault of my own. No GM ever showed up, and I didn't get the Mythic email, which means there probably weren't even any employees on when I submitted my Help call. This sucks beyond suck.

I lost a paroxymous swampy in a similar manner. I was doing a spawn one night before server down & died so I chose the stuck option bc I was feeling lazy and the server went down before I could get myself / pet ressed. After server up it was no where to be fond though I didn't have a full stable at the time.

What do you mena NO FAULT of YOUR OWN you logged out without having enought stable slots to hold all your pets, by your own admission. and the result is two pets disapeared - sorry but that is all your fault - sad but thats the truth.

proxies are totally diffenrt issue and a know issue i lost one just becasue i got dismounted not relted to this at all sorry for both your losses but one is player cause the other is a bug

I've been logging out in my house ever since i received the vollems 2 months ago. When i logged in this morning my status window showed 5/5 followers, but only the goat with me. I couldn't locate them anywhere, so I logged out and back in, only to see 1/5 and a goat. How exactly is any of this my fault ?

Beats me, i never got a reply to my request, or an email. So Eff me I suppose.

Ask around - if your shard had a crash (even if it appeared to be only a momentary disconnect to everyone involved), the pets and you might have popped back in on restart on a timer, and they didn't autolog back out when you did. This is what happened when you were still on at the end of last backup of a shard, and you didn't log back in after maintenance, that I thought they fixed or were fixing. Of course, any fix for a planned reboot won't apply to a shard crash, and might not for an intended (but unannounced) reboot.

Rule one:
Never log out with pet in follow mode loose where ever you are and assume it will log with you. ***
Rule two:
Don't fill you stable to capacity and tame and run more.... heartache waiting to happen...
Rule three:
Don't break rule one. No matter how rushed you are.. put the damn jewelry on and stable pets! Never trust UO to work your way....

*** Warning pets who are under attack even by a small rodent will NOT log with you.. it is in war mode which stops the instant log of pets with the player.****

didnt they add something with the last patch/publish to do with pets so they wouldnt be lost?

I had the vollems for approximately 1 minute somewhere, but when i logged out and back in, that sealed the deal. Anyway a GM finally showed up, searched all around and didn't find them. I wish there was a lesson learned here, but I still don't believe I did anything wrong.

I have had a similar experience after server crashes

After the server went down i was at 0/5 followers and the pet was not in stable so i went out and search for my pet where I was hunting
When I found my pet and called for them my followers went back to 5/5

Actually, and I believe i'm correct in saying this though I could be wrong, if you hadn't logged out again and instead had just stuck around in game and called a GM they would have been able to retrieve them for you still, but now they're just plain gone. It's a bug that's been around since they changed how pets were handled almost a decade ago and is probably the best reason that adding the damned login pet recall was a mistake, even if the rate of it happening is so low.

Yeah, one time I was totally bugged out and I had both a white wyrm or a dragon and a rune beetle out at the same time. I was at 6/5 followers technically and couldn't use all kill commands but I think I could use all follow commands. Was very weird.

This can happen, if the GD goes wild during the fight.
Not feed enough, missed to reequip Taming/Lore jewelry ... a Greater dragon is quickly unhappy.
