This afternoon I purchased the "rustic" pack from uostore. Got my code, used it in-game, got my raised garden bed deed. So far so good. Then tried to place the garden bed, it told me I needed the rustic pack to do that. HUH? I had just bought it from uostore, got the deed, it made no sense. So I paged a GM. Took the GM just 15 MINUTES to respond, he explained to me how I needed to go into my game account and register the same code there. So, I had to essentially double-register...ok. Did so, it worked like a charm, am now raising flowers and am basically a happy camper. Thought maybe someone would enjoy hearing a positive GM report for a change:]

You know, posts on stratics regarding GMs is sort of like Newegg reviews on computer hardware. When everything works fine, which is most of the time, you don't hear about it. All the reviews are by people who are pissed off that their stuff is DOA or overheating or whatever. I've had to page a couple times over the last year and they've been very helpful.

Id wager that the GM that helped you was Melvyr. He/She is the most helpful, polite, funny GM in the game. If it was a different GM I'd be shocked, but glad to hear there is more than one GOOD/Awesome GM left.

I rarley ever need a GM, but when I do, they usualyy appear with 10-15 minutes and are always very helpful and friendly.
It has to suck for them though that their job is called Customer Service, but in essence it's just Customer Complaints. Doing that for 8 hours a day must really rattle their nerves when all they wanna do help people the best they can.
Maybe we need a " Thank You GM's Day ! "

I seldom need to call a GM but when I do, they are consistently pleasant and helpful, and occasionally funny too.

A hardworking, under-appreciated group. Thank you ALL UO GMs. :)

Well then prepare to be shocked - GM Jotid stopped by to check on an issue I had earlier in the day. Alas it was far too slow a response to help me with the issue, but GM Jotid was very nice and and apologized and promised to pass on the information (in case it's a bug). I've been playing since the beginning, and though I've probably only called a GM about 20 times in the last 15 years I've never had any issues with any GM - they're always very professional and polite. As for the slow response time - that falls squarely on EA, so I hope other players aren't being jerks and taking it out on the GMs when they can't help with something beyond their control.
