The lag is so bad, I'm almost to the point I'm just going to quit... seriously. This is the worst it's ever been. It isn't my business class cable...

Network routing has very little to do with the UO devs. Just sayin'.I'm lagging as a normal routine. It's getting really old. My game time runs out in early June and I'll likely take the summer off. If UO is still running when cold weather returns around the holidays maybe I'll stop in and see if the Devs got off their rumps and fixed the packet loss problem or not.
Lag became a normal problem situation with the move to the Cloud. The Devs need to find a way to deal with it and improve the data transfer speeds between the Shards in the Cloud and our clients. If they can't, it'll likely be a showstopper for some players.Network routing has very little to do with the UO devs. Just sayin'.
Actually having less item data that needs to routinely flow between our clients and the Cloud based Shards might improve the situation. Wonder if they can make our clients not need as much item data yet still work well? They could also slow down the mobs a bit so they move at a speed like our characters now move. The Devs need to do something to compensate for the loss of movement speed caused by the Cloud.People keep calling for a "classic" shard. Well this lag is the first step.
I'm sure the end of that route is the problem, the Amazon UO Servers. I suppose the devs could have given priority to certain internet links with that fix depending on how many customers came in via each link and mine is just fairly far down the totem pole, but the problem came with the move to the Cloud and hasn't gone away. I've no intention of adding game time in June to keep my accounts active since their no longer fun to play. I'll put the $26 a month in another companies pockets. Are you sure the issue is not with your Internet service provider and its route to the amazon UO servers?
