Change(s) to Doom Gauntlet?

We did a Doom Gauntlet run last night.

We noticed that the primary effect of Consecrate Weapon, the ability to target the lowest resist of the target, was not working on monsters it hitherto had worked on.

It seems more-likely that the Doom Gauntlet bosses had changed than that Consecrate Weapon had changed. Were it the latter surely someone else would've noticed in another circumstance by now.

I can only guess if this is related to the recent Patches and Publishes or if it's longer-standing.

I also thought I noticed the Dark Fathers doing more damage and being smarter....But others weren't so sure, so this part may just be my perception.

But the Consecrate effects, others noticed too.

I noticed the lack of effect yesterday as well, fighting in the abyss. I think it is most likely a broken spell than monster related.

Yeah if it was noticed someplace other than the Gauntlet.....Then almost definitely a spell change.

Thismay be nothing ut there have been changes recently and with lower chiv ther proc chance on cons wep has lowered. I have 120 chiv and I have noticed no change in terms of effect with cons wep. hope this helps. if you hover over the icon on the effects bar it will tell you the proc chance. also if you are a sampire try hitting them with corpse skin and lowering their fire resist as a way to test

We were not able to reproduce this on Lake Superior. Consecrate Weapon looks to be working as expected.

I'm on GL's and I've never seen damage dealt to be so erratic..... one moment I'm hitting for my 180 then I'm hitting at 220 then I'm hitting for 30 ...... or 80 or 110...... It's the weirdest thing...... I consecrate and honestly I can't tell the difference.... It's still overly erratic and unpredictable. And by the way I'm an archer. It has no idea what to hit for and I've no clue what is going on. Was this way previously before the morning in Doom and it was that way again last evening while at Medusa. EoO with Consecrate = very erratic results. No idea what's up. I couldn't tell you what damage I expect to get. Anything from 30 to 220... Not that I'm going to complain a whole lot it's been YEARS since I've hit over 200.... typically the best I've ever been able to do prior to the publishes was 189. Back before I got hit with a big nerf stick I was typically hitting for around 260 to 280 on a DF so this is nice just wish it was a bit more consistent.

Yes, exactly, hard to tell if Consecrate is working, I have a few pet monsters that I know how much damage I do and same as you MalagAste, now damage numbers are so erratic that it's impossible to tell. I'm an archer also, pure archer, no bush, no fancy stuff just plain ole arrow shooter. Took quiver off, still same, no elemental damage on bow so should be hitting only for physical and you should be able to tell on monsters but I sure can't right now.

Well I'm not the only one that's noticed. Like I said we did Medusa and everyone there was wondering what was up between that and others getting splash damage from the others in their guild using Momentum Strike it was a very interesting evening hunt.

New weapon damage ranges appear to me to be a consequence of changes to base weapon damage, at least in part.

Getting used to the new reality seems likely to take some time.

If that's the case why is the damage so erratic????
