Does luck help with the stealing skill when stealing from other players?

Like does having luck on your armor increase your success chance when attempting to steal from another player? If it doesn't why doesn't it? If it does then cool.

No sorry, luck only affects loot on monsters you or your summon or pet slays...

In the good old days when you could steal prety much anything under 11 stone, I used to feel prety lucky when i got away with stuff, but apart for that luck on your gear plays no part

It doesn't because luck was created only for loot considerations. Luck was never intended to do anything but bump loot intensity.
