..I was on the SW coast of Trinsic and came across something I hadn't seen before. It's a Black charred, burned down house with a cross and something/someone hanging on it. When you click it, it reads "Effigy of a Traitor", looks ominous. Anyone know what it is? This is Chessy on Tram. (X1496 Y3252) checked Fel. side and nada. Wondering if it's all shards or something just left over from an event on Chessy. Anyway, just curious.

Thanks Ax. But I wonder if that's the case here. Only because I've been in the area before and don't remember seeing this. Also I infered from your post that this Draconi (GM?) was doing this back in the day not recently and the house is still burning. Whether this is a Draconi burn or something else, how cool is it that a GM was riding thru the world taking vengeance on Sosaria's evildoers. Reminds me of an old Eastwood movie. Is he still with us, if so, let him know he has some unfinished work here, lol.
I personally watched the destruction of a Luna house on Pacific at the time.
Draconi was one of UO's previous lead producers, not a GM. One of the best we've ever had in my personal opinion.

Handful of years ago, they did a huge push banning said players. Everyone remember the virtually identical BOD shops in Luna across many many shards? Well, Draconi and his love of fire and blowing things up...did just that.
Unless this is a new house that it has recently happened to, it's one of those old ones and you may have just missed it in passing.

It's from the period when EA could still afford to be overzealous with the ban button and banned many innocent accounts in addition to those of dupers, etc. Of course, a lot of people touted it as some kind of great victory for non-cheaters, but a lot of collateral damage was caused that I witnessed myself and lasting damage was done to the remaining playerbase as a result.
I don't recall this as one of UO's finest moments, despite the blind cheerleaders who would tell you otherwise.

Draconi was a DEV and he loved setting things on fire, the bigger the better. All of those houses were known scripters/dupers and when they were done billions of gold and masses of items were gone from UO.

I've played on and off since 98', this must have happened during one of my "off" periods because I never heard of this. When was itearly, mid 2000's? Sorry for some of the innocents Spiritless referenced but glad I got to see this little piece of UO history before it disappeared.

I am not sure so dont quote me on this but i think that is standar for banned/cheater accounts now they distroy the whole thing so the bugged stuff cdont get out and the cheaters friends get the message.. they couldbe next
