You need to set up several vendors and sell most of it to the rest of us packrats. Then we can do the same and sell it back.I would much rather have a house search feature that would let me know where the hell I put my good blacksmithing talisman. I know it is one of these chests/bags/boxes....
Just set the house to resize and everything will be collected in one neat area. Sometimes the house just gets in the way. Removing it helps when it is out of the way to start sorting. Something higher on the list of new game additions would be a new tame called the Flying Butt Monkey. Or a new BOD book sortring option needed for those that using more then one BOD book eludes them.I am going to guess that this thread will not last much longer than last weeks thread asking the same question. Just saying. HERE HERE
Not sure I care enough what the devs "timeline" for a vendor search is. I would much rather have a house search feature that would let me know where the hell I put my good blacksmithing talisman. I know it is one of these chests/bags/boxes....
I have one, I call it the Enhanced Client. List and grid views let me not worry about putting sub bags in sub bags in sub bags just to keep everything separated.I would much rather have a house search feature that would let me know where the hell I put my good blacksmithing talisman.
It's been "coming" for over 4 years now...No hurry. It will come!
There are several viable and well done vendor searches available currently. They even follow the model of the Asian UO sites, in that they reward you for purchasing items from them. i have used them on several occasions when the official site decided not to take my 50 or 60 bucks when I needed xfer tokens or re-forging tools. I would wager to say that before the "devs" comment on when a search will be available, they should maybe address how they can make sure that they can take money from customers who want to pay them. This means account management as well as supplemental purchases. It's been "coming" for over 4 years now...
Yes, we are all well aware of them... But it is new blood that UO requires - and keeping new players requires a complete revamp of the current economy (you know, the one Luna owned and operated by and for the very wealthy). The game needs for a new player to be able to find items necessary or desired at a new player's price-point - and he/she needs to do that without having to know about and use a 3rd party website...There are several viable and well done vendor searches available currently.....
Convenient that you didn't quote the rest of my post, seeing as i was a fairly new player when i encountered the brickwall that drove me to the 3rd party sites. You do realize that they have also publicly stated that they have NO intention of actively marketing to new players since 2006, right?Yes, we are all well aware of them... They've been saying that it is up there on their list for over 4 years now.... I just think that they could at least acknowledge that there is something that is keeping them from implementing what they have acknowledge is needed, and at the very least let us know that it can be expected in the future...

Has the Dark Lady been in charge for that long. Talking about a to do list when things have been on it for over 10 years and this has only hit the 4 year mark. Don't hold your breath. Please link to your 4 year reference please by a producer.Yes, we are all well aware of them... TBH, there are a lot more topics devs don't comment on than they doDev's have commented here on many things... Why have they refused to comment on this topic?
This saves me sooo much time...

Thanks Picus for throwing this out here. I want to follow up and be very frank. I spent 2 hours trying to purchase xfer tokens with the same card that i pay for my multiple accounts with on the first night i ever needed tokens. Two hours of frustration and fail, followed up with me trying to call the official help numbers. Yeah, ten minutes with a 3rd party site, and I was in business. In addition, I was rewarded for my purchase. Please feel free to chastise me for giving loyalty to the party that deserves it.This is the only reply needed.
This is really, really GREAT NEWS for our game. Thank you so much for putting this out here, Mesanna ! This will finally end the years of vendor drought and lesser players will be able to find items at their levels (and keep them interested in staying with us)... I think that this is the best change to take place in the game since the Fel/Tram split.Mesanna: I hope to have the vendor search in game by October.

The Fel/Tram split saved UO from the dustbin of failed games by stopping the exodus of paying customers to other games to escape the griefing PKers back in 2000. As long as there is some provision to keep the multi-trillionaires from just hoarding the market on items, the in game vendor search system could well move into the next greatest addition to UO status above Imbuing which broke the super-expensive runic tool wall on having great gear. Might be close though.... I think that this is the best change to take place in the game since the Fel/Tram split.
