is it just me or everytime you need to change your mythic account password, there is some kind of problem and you get an error...this is aggravating...
For some reason lately, it seems like when people post about this particular issue, it's almost always on the weekends. Makes me wonder if some systems are routinely being brought down for maintenance at that time or if they crash and no one is around to quickly bring them back into service.is it just me or everytime you need to change your mythic account password, there is some kind of problem and you get an error...this is aggravating...
Pray. Doubt it will help but asking EA/Mythic for help is worthless. Trying to get thru to actually talk to a living human being is futile. The game will die because no one can ever return... and those who are gone would have to start all over again with a new account... which means you are a decade and more behind and unable to use a frelling thing... and young to boot. Try to start all over from scratch and have no clue what the frell anything is because there IS no help for new players. No place to go, no way to return... This is the legacy we are left with. If they can't starve us out with dropping DEV's and no more updates and upgrades then they will banish us all by making it near impossible to return... And yet the Wael believe that it is not true that EA wishes UO to die a quick death...My brother wanted to come back recently after I told him there was population on Atlantic. He tried like hell to get on, but it's been probably 6-10 years or so since he's logged on his account and since then moved his email. He can't log on, and what makes it worse it keeps locking him out for 30 minutes. Were clueless how to get his old account back.
Anyone know what we can do to get him back on?

I say it is TRUE. Why else would they take a game that has all the wonder and still drives folk to return like a smoker is driven to endure poison because the nicotine commands him to so does the game bring folk back... Yet EA fails to see what they have, fails to bring it up like a banner before them to raise their company from the sludge it dwells in and why??? They had and FAILED at the perfect opportunity at the 15th anniversary.... something few if ANY other games can boast... they FAILED epically to raise UO... Was it for lack of care? Lack of management? Lack of what? My thought... They want UO to die and have for the last 8 years or more... yet it endures. Why? Because of the FANS love for the game.... Nothing more.
It's not at all weird if I am right. If I am correct and EA wants to wash it's hands of UO then it makes perfect sense. But... If I'm wrong then EA is indeed one of the most foolish companies to date. I wish we could rise up and take our game from them.... and give it the light it should be given. But that's not likely to happen. The game belongs to them... Pity they have no clue what to do with it. Doubt they care. They have fumbled 1000 times over at managing the game. It's been obvious from the beginning that they care little for the customers. Ever had your account hacked? Ever been scammed? Ever lost things to a revert or an unexpected crash? Many other games and companies would see it made right... but not EA... No they treat you like you were the one who hacked your own account. Get scammed by some scammer it's your own fault... not the fault on their part for allowing such bad code that allows folk to be so scammed.... Remember folk getting scammed trying to buy a pet and winding up with something named the same but totally NOT what was offered in trade? And who profited from that? Who was punished? Who lost? How many times has it happened and nothing done. Other games would have given you the RIGHTFUL animal and punished the scammer. But not EA not UO... And yet they wonder why folk leave.I have been trying for 6 mths to get 2 15 year old accounts located and resubbed. I have yet to receive any info at ALL regarding them. I'm hoping Shroud of the Avatar lives up to my expectations, if it does I am done with EA for good. I know staff is short-handed and outsourced for the most part so I can't really complain more than be baffled as to why the crap anyone running a business would turn their backs on more revenue?? Weird right?
If that's what they're thinking, their out of their tree. After the experiences they've given us, how could they even dream we would wade back into their billing b.s. and customer service b.s. again when there are customer friendly game systems out there to go to.Look if I didnt know better its EA's way to ween us off UO and to go to its other games....
If that's their plan it's backfiring... I'll never pick up another EA game so long as I draw breath. I've had more than my fill with this one and I've given it 13 years of loyalty. And for what? To be told that if I get hacked or scammed I shouldn't be so stupid and I shouldn't be a cheater because truly only cheaters get hacked... Well hate to break it to you but I know folk who've gotten hacked just for creating an account HERE and posting...so spare me the BS... EA keeps up at this pace it'll be a bad memory in a few minds in a years time and nothing more.Well kiddies the billing monster strikes again!
EA gave us this mess that is soo messed up not even an experienced accountant can get it to work right.
Dont try to turn on more then 2 accounts in one sitting or you might get your CC locked out.
Dont try to change passwords, system will have a system info failure and lock you out...
Trying to come back from a long hiatus? dont bother calling the 800# they cant help you EA took UO/Mythic off the help lines hands..
Reciently Mesanna gave the most help you can get in this day and age... go follow the guide... it might work for some... might in big bold letters
Look if I didnt know better its EA's way to ween us off UO and to go to its other games.... what it is really doing is making angry customers that will backfire on them one day.
The old system was not the greatest and the help line was partly responcable for hacking some accounts by "fishers" but at least you got somewhere if you needed help...
Mythic is doing its best ..but sometimes its best is not good enough.
