You should provide more info of what is happening. What client you use, and what actions you do when it closes. Also what windows version you use.

This was happening to me a few days ago, i.e., couldn't stay logged in to UO more than a few seconds. Ran some trace routes and they were coming out just terrible and the shard list was showing off-the-chart latency. I clearly had Internet access but something about it was just "off."

Then I remembered that one of my grandsons had been down in the basement the evening before with his grandpa, messing around with trying to repair an old snow blower motor in grandpa's workshop. To get to his workshop, you have to walk by a desk that holds the cable modem and the wireless router, as well as a crippled laptop that my grandson keeps wanting me to give to him. Knowing my grandson's curiosity about all that stuff, I figured maybe he moved one or the other pieces of hardware around just to see what all the connections and lights were. So I turned off my laptop, went downstairs and checked all the connections on the modem and the router. Everything seemed fine, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to just turn off both, unplug all the connections and plug them back in again. Did that, came back upstairs and turned on the laptop. Lo and behold, no more problems and trace routes were back to normal.

I don't know if something similar may have happened at your house, but maybe it's worth a shot to turn everything off, and check all your Internet connections to make sure they're okay.

It's not a user issue, it's a server issue! It's happening in random bursts, so by the time you made it back up to your laptop, it was normal again. The traces I run show it just prior to the final jump to the cloud. Hopefully they figure it out, I'm getting tired of paying a monthly subscription for this type if headache....

Nah, I'm pretty sure that on Sunday, at least, it was an issue on my end. The latency and packet loss for every shard were truly absurd. I had a screen shot showing it (below), all ready to post, and had done some trace routes (which I didn't save). But it all cleared up after unplugging everything and rebooting. And when I asked on Siege at that time if anyone else was having problems with being disconnected, no one was.

Yeah, after seeing that, your Issue was you :). The maim problem however remains server side, not client... Id wager it the point that marries the data to the cloud that's causing the major issue.

What OP tells here, is that it is his client that crashes and just closes. So - for me, it sounds like a process that kills the client. It can be sound or graphics. Therefore it should be provided more info about his system, and when it happends.

- this is not a server side issue, but a client side issue. If he runs ec or cc, its different requirements from the local computer. It is also different solutions on different systems, from XP, W7 and W8.

- what he could do, is to update the graphic card driver and sound card driver.
