UO Forums Ads (not) encouraging UO game play.

I understand website banner ads targeting the viewing audience, but common man! UO forums shouldn't be promoting other games. Free to play even. LOL

My searches are always news,or weather oriented. Such as CNN,FoxNews,MSNBC,and NOAA for example. Stratics is the only gaming website I ever visit. I guess they don't have anything in their banner library other than ftp games?

These aren't "UO forums", these are "Stratics forums whose topic happens to be UO". The UO forums were killed years ago, and "official" discussion moved here to Stratics.

I guess if UO would give them money then maybe we would see some UO ads. I guess everybody thinks UOStratics is done for free and puts up ads they like to see. Someone has to pay the bills.

We do not select the ads that are shown. We are a member of an ad network that displays from full deck of ads, based on a variety of anonymous user information. If Mythic sells ads to our ad publisher, these will very probably show up in the ad blocks. If you haven't noticed, we tend to be fans of Mythic's work.

We can request that ads be removed, and have done so in the past. If an advertisement offends you, please provide a screen shot and/or any available data. This is a more effective feedback mechanism than sarcasm, as it stands a chance of producing positive results.

Loosen the collar a little, please... Sarcasm was intended and reasons may not have been obvious in my original post. Hopefully others will understand now that the screen shot has been added to the original post. The banner ads were not triggered by any of my recent searches, and to say I was offended by the ads is comical. I just wanted to share a chuckle I had by having two ads for two games from UO's competitors on a UO forum.

First order of business is to demolish St. Peters Basilica and put in a fishing pond. The surrounding land could have skeet shooting range,monster truck track/drag racing strip. Maybe even a Bass Pro Shop. Yup,that sound good.
