Returning player, what to kill, where to farm?

I've been playing on and off since 1997. My last stint I built a sampire with mostly older gear ( lots of doom artifacts )...

So, I am a bit rusty. Never been an uber player except for on my old roach mage, and troublemaker my bard.

Id like to farm some better gear, or stuff for my crafter to unravel or imbue.

Where is the best bang for my buck? My last farming spot used to be blood ellies in ish, and ice deamons.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

As long as you don't mind Cursed Armor - there's some great stuff in Shame There are also some new artifacts in Covetous and Despise.

Shame and Wrong will give the new loot. Keep everything and unravel. Usually in about an hours hunt Ill walk out with 50-100 Relic Frags. Also the loot from there is pretty damn good. If youre just PVMing it you can make a few awesome suits that are easily replaceable with like items.

Yeah another vote for shame. I like the unbound energy vortex for farming at the moment. Sampire can chop through them pretty quick. I have about 160 luck on my suit, then along with the +1000 luck from perfection is a nice little boost. I get some amazing cursed loot and sometimes un-cursed lovelyness!

Shame is good, but I will throw out a plug for some of the Aybss mini champs. Nice essense for imbuing and chance for some decent arties in the process.

Even the upper levels can get nasty - low game pop means nobody else around to heal/res, or help with corpse recovery, or keeping the rest of the spawn occupied.

Wrong is a win for elf human gear.

Abyss is the win for other needful things after all the unraveling

Welcome back.

For a Sampire for flat-out gold-farming, it's still the troglodytes of the Painted Caves.

The stuff you cited will also still work adequately for gold.

Since you'll want Imbued gear sooner or later why not farm the Abyss some after you've filled your coin purse? If nothing else you'll get ingredients you'll need and potentially cut down on the cost of your Imbued armor.

The others' ideas are also good.

Wrong is just that..wrong. There's too much jammed into one little space and i have yet to figure out how to make a dent in the executioners.

I get decent loot from blood ele's in shame BUT when there's 6-8 that run in a wolfpack, then it gets hairy.

The Lizards at the entrance are pretty decent if your luck is 800+
