Make a move and get some armor on to the test centre please. I know you need to do internal testing etc. but there are a few of us needing to make suits for our characters and we cant do anything until you decide where were going to go with this.

There is not a snowballs chance in hell im going to fork out 100 million for a new suit just to find out in a few weeks times its worthless. You are holding the game up with these new changes. You told us they would be on test centre early this week! It’s the weekend now and still no sign.

Id love to have stuff to test as well, but I dont think rushing them is a good idea, let it come to test when its ready for player testing. There will be enough griping after its on test center, can you immagine what it would be like if it was released before they finished internal testing?

The world is not yet ending (last time i checked anyways), you can still make your suit in a few weeks, no one is going to die. Im sure there is a legitimate reason for the delay.


A suggestion for you..


continue to play with your current suit whilst changes are being made? then upgrade closer to publish? I mean why is it life or death that you MUST know this info as soon as possible, ?? we are ALL in the same boat here?


sometimes i wonder with all the moaning i see on this forum why on earth they would listen, most people are not even using constructive criticism during this push

Yeah I can still make a suit, but I don't want to make a leather suit and spend all the resources that is needed to make it, just to find out in a few weeks that I should have waited to make a plate suit with the new stats. When I make a new char I normally have a goal in mind for what he is going to be used for. I will work out the fine details on a spread sheet then make the suit. There is a lot of work/time and money spent on developing a new suit. Without the specific armor and arties I am left with a character who is only half as powerful as he should be.

Not to mention they never actually guarenteed it would be up this week. They said it COULD be up as early as this week not that it would be up early in the week! I really want to see it on test too but I also want them to test it internally and hopefully catch anything major before it hits testcenter not to mention hopefully make more changes based on playerfeedback to the changed notes. I mean look at the stamina changes of the first patch notes. That was gamebreaking pretty much that was something I think that should have been caught in internal testing. I think that is a good example of what can happen if you rush something out without enough testing first.

Then wait and stop pancakes over nothing. Let them take more than two weeks to work out the second phase of armor tweaks. What, will your characters be deleted if they dont get a new suit every few weeks?

PS, if your spending 100m on a suit that isnt one of a kind, your either a fool or would rather spend gold than play the game for an evening making a good suit.


now back to your regularly scheduled thread about how the devs are trying to kill UO and they dont listen, and how we want changes fast but dont want things changed if we have to relearn/adapt.

No stress at all, Just stating character suit building has come to a grinding halt until we know which direction the Devs are going to go. I have a new character I want to start playing and his current suit is sub standard for his needs. While this sub standard suit will suffice, its not the best it can be! After 13 years of playing UO I don't do stress, I take it all in my stride, while everyone else has quit and gave up over the years, I adapt and move on. Stress? Not I

Funny Thing: I am even now playing with quite ordinary and i many respects cheap pieces. This didn´t stop me from getting wonderful drops and loot from monsters. I know, I am only doing PVM, so... But I never needed a valorite hammer or a horned kit. The lower level stuff is good enough. And I still stick to imbuing, using arties, using loot. So, really, I don´t mind those changes. The world will still exist afterwards and I will still get my Hephestus, my Tangles, my Crimmies and so on. But I am constrantly pressing thumbs for you guys! ;-)

As they have already mentioned, it will be there when they finish the internal testing. Regardless of all the cynicism by numerous posters, they have given every indication that this is one publish they are not wanting to rush.

you can still play in your old armor so i'm not sure why your so upset. If you want to take advantage of the new system like anything else you will need to adapt.

The updated publish notes said it Could be as early as next week. I'm not making any new suits until the publish hits too, I too was hoping the updated notes would have been on TC for the weekend.

Oh well...

I'm going to guess, and say it's going to be on TC1 Tuesday.

I have loads of BODS, thousands of them, so many of them I had to place 6 vendors in my castle to hold them all. Its just a case of bribing the NPC's now for a fair price to upgrade them all to Val suits for the hammers.

Here is a thought. Enjoy those characters already finnished with their template and suits. There will be new buckets to fill with tears when the new changes weaken the current powerhouses.

Makes no difference how and what changes are made. They need to stop making armor so easy to be held onto for years. Adjust the current insurance rate. None artifact/relic type weapons and armor need a higher break rate. Great armor should be cherrished and not the end all. We don't clean the stalls with our sunday best. The strong arm of the bosses and their loot should be the new Risk vs Reward. Do I risk a fight with a boss with great or good gear? Good gear is not so bad when it requires me to bring friends.

When they first came out with the clean=up program I threw an entire Castle full of junk away just so I could sort out another castle and 2 keeps full.LOL Then I gave away the empty castle LOL.I collect way to much junk and people keep giving me thier BOD collections.
