Alchemy? Why does making a potion and pouring it into a Keg consume the bottle?

I thought it used to just pour the potion into the keg, as it is now I would cost me TWO bottles to use a Keg?

Reminds me of being stuck at 99.7 cartography. Decoded somewhere between 50-100 level 5 maps with no gain (before they re-coded themselves). Finally realized the reason I hadn't been gaining was because I had no room for more skills and nothing was set to go down

Weirder is 1 keg of potions = 1 secure, 1 pile of 60k potions = 1 secure, so the point of kegs is sort of lost, really...

Honestly kegs are outdated now. They use to be handy before commidity deeds, but since they introduced the deeds the kegs are as useless as a VCR.

That was my only remaining use for them - until the raised beds became available. Even before that though, on shards where I had no home, I still grew plants using a stock of potions in my bank, and it was pretty simple to do.
