Hey Dev's: Please turn off insurance in trammel

My guild thinks the trammel game play rule set is too easy and needs more of a challenge.

Please turn off insurance so that dying in trammel has some risk to it. please make red healers refuse to rez blue players' too.

another good idea is for blue players to make weekly gold tributes to the shrines in order to be able to use rez anhks.

we think the above will lead to more stimulating game play.

FIXED - Don't insure your items.

please make red healers refuse to rez blue players' too.


FIXED - Don't use red healers. Albeit there shouldn't be red healers in tram rule-set areas anyways.

another good idea is for blue players to make weekly gold tributes to the shrines in order to be able to use rez anhks.


Make it applicable to all players in all facets.

They already did this. It didn't work.

Again...your Guild can take absolutely full advantage of the "Sandbox" feature of our game, so that all of you can gain maximum enjoyment from the game.

Just use the context menu, and make 100% certain that every single item you have is completely uninsured. Then double check once again that nothing escaped your "Uninsure" attempt.

That way, once you have complete assurance that you will lose everything upon death if you can't get back to your corpse, or get looted by warring Guilds or Guild mates that you PvP with...then you can get on with having your fun...

Without &*$#%&* up everyone elses fun that doesn't share your idea of "Fun".

i dont know why your getting so upset. you should be happy im trying to impart what my idea of a pure uo vision is to you.

You cant possibly be having anyfun knowing that you there is no consequence to you dying in trammel due possilby to a mistake on your part or lack of skill. how will you ever learn from your mistakes and get better.

my idea is perfect because it forces you to think through your actions and estimate a proper degree of risk and consequence you must take in order to get the end result your striving for.

its a nice challenge.

I think the Dev's have already implemented it...it's called Siege Perilous...and you can see by the high population how popular it is. While we're making Trammel more challenging, we'll have to adjust Felucca so it doesn't become the new "Trammel". So...let's make all deaths in Felucca, perma-death! Now that's hardcore! Make those Siege players look like trammies.

For the record though, I do think insurance was a huge mistake, but I'm not going to voluntarily turn it off (and players would quit if they did away with it), so even though your post is a joke, it has some validity. It is up to the devs to make the game challenging, and I think in their rush to appease players they went too far and made the game too easy and you're right...it has taken the fun out of it, so now we're stuck in a vicious circle of making items more powerful to keep players interested, then make the monsters harder to keep the players interest, but those hard monsters need to have good drops, or what's the point in fighting them...blah blah blah. I miss the old days where all the dungeons and spawns were equally challenging. Before all these damn boss monsters with artifacts everywhere. I blame Diablo, they're the ones that "contributed" so much to the way this game has evolved. Oh no, I've opened up another..."bring bad the old days thread"...ackk...forgive me.

no apologies necesssary. yes, this post was made ''tounge in cheek'' in a thinly veiled response to the other post regarding reds being put in jail for two weeks.

i think though it points to the lack of foresight by some who start up a post that would be clearly damaging to some playstyles without truly sitting back and reflecting first before rashly putting ideas to paper.

the publish on tc now will be best served if players try out the changes and have a constructive discussion as to the impact a change makes. the dev's can than reflect off this insight and make adjustments accordingly. of course nothing is ever perfect but this is probably the most fair way these things can be done.

Then in fel we should have where the reds pay a % of insurance to us blues when they kill us . Reds should not get insurance from blues we are the victims not the reds.:p

They should just remove ALL blue healers from Fel, and replace them with red ones... Imo.

The other changes are a bit harsh, though it would probably increase fel population if people could insure their stuff in only fel... There has to be another way ;)

SlobberKnocker - your "system" has been tried already, in case you're not aware. The current system was put into place to KEEP players from leaving the game because of the childish gangbangers who insisted in driving away the player base. Most of us here know this....

Fantastic! All great ideas, really. But i take it that you did not hear what the developers have planned.

They're closing Felucca... The Felucca facet is being converted into a twin of Trammel. Power scrolls will be dropping in the new Trammel facet, and in Ilshenar. Anyone with murder counts will have their combat skills stripped and replaced with crafting skills. They will then, be relegated to New Haven in the original Trammel, or the New Trammel (player's choice) to craft silverware and fur thongs for all of the new players joining the game due to the facet "adjustment". Every 60 hours of crafting will remove one murder count. Forged Pardons are being removed from the game.

The developers thought that the PvP community (us), would greatly enjoy this activity and, thus, made it impossible to delete characters with murder counts.

I know, I know... The developers are out of touch with the majority of the player base. *shakes fist*

I would have really liked to see perma-death implemented... I would have found so much joy in recreating characters from the ground up every 3 to 4 days..

Hang in there bub...
