Suggestion for play in felucca

If you want to be a Murderer in felucca , and you want more blue players in felucca to attack, here is my idea. Red character murders a blue character. Character with forensic evaluation discovers the name of said murderer. Toon with forensics is issued a "warrant" (transferable, sellable) If the toon with the warrant in his/her backpack, OR anyone in a party with the warrant , finds and kills the said red, he is put in uo prison for 2 weeks. Consequences for being a murderer and a way blues can seek revenge. This could also work with theives but to a lesser degree, say 3 days in jail and only having to double click the warrant and targeting the theif.

I would support reds in jail for two weeks if killed by a blue so long as blues killed by a red have to wait two weeks to res. /end sarcasm

And get this, after they get out? Probation. Any criminal act they commit for the next two weeks after they go right back into jail automatically for a month!

Hmm... Since Fel is obviously the lands relegated to murderers, just the act of being there should flag you as grey. Then there would be no more need for murder counts at all.

I REALLY hope you are joking with this post. UO's population is already declining the last thing UO needs is a reason for the players not to log in for 2 weeks. After a player goes 2 weeks with out playing they find out that there is a life outside of UO and they will start playing less and less until they deactivate their account. That is why many years ago players had to log in at least once per week to refresh their homes.

How about a bounty like the "good 'ole days". You wouldn't have to cut off the head and present it to a guard, and there could be several restrictions, but I think it would be possible.

Hahaha, thats just awsome.

I think they should just bring back some type of "bounty" system, just needs to be well-rounded and as hard to "abuse" as possible... Which is unlikely, but would be nice.

Actually I like the idea but think you need to add a "buy out" option...

Reds sit in jail 2 weeks or pay 100k to get out after an hour.

Thieves sit 3 days or pay 10k to get out.

Not only a good gold sink but also gives some meaning to killing a Red. Not just gaining Justice.

Yah try that with my Thief see if you don't get a Infectious Strike straight to the gut... :)...that is if you ever even see him.

Set up a Supreme Court of UO to hear appeals. Of course the judges must be confirmed by the U.S. Senate. That my take some time.

Also district appeals courts. All the reds will move to Pacific to be in the 9th district.

This is probably "THE DUMBEST" idea I have ever read on stratics...

Every time you die to a MOB you get to go to a re spawn location where u must wait 8 hours to be sent through a cryogenic process that can really resurrect you rather than some silly ankh..hope u don't d/c

No there is literally no upside to this idea.

What if there was a pop up gump that came when you were attacked. Sort of like the query for criminal actions. So if attacked the attackee would get to choose yes or no. The attacker would sit there patiently waiting for their victim to make a selection. That would be.... Trammel.

Another felucca discussion, well...

Best would be, if they rust remove Felucca completely and rename Trammel back into Britannia. Then create a separate shard for each major region with just a single Britannia facet with Felucca ruleset, i.e. Felucca US West, Felucca US East, Felucca Europe, etc. Give every player a pvp shard shield. Once every 7 days the player char can move to the nearest Felucca shard or back to his home shard. Benefits: All PvPers of one region are on a single facet, increasing the player density. Also there will be no more pvp smack talk in general chat on PvE shards.

i miss the old bounty system! This would be an excellent idea although it can be exploited. The bounty system would probably bring people to fel, imagine roving gangs of trammies trying to collect a bounties

I say bring back the bounty system which might make people play fel just to go after the Reds. They could incorporate the Forensic Evaluation skill into this somehow. Putting players in jail is a bad idea though.

Stupid idea.

I would love to see something like double insurance for each kill with the second side going into a bounty system. If you die on your red the person who killed you collects the bounty. I'd be shocked if the amount of loot is such that people would abuse the system but it would add a little something. I made a new garg and have gone 0 deaths and 40+ murders in the last month. Heck I'd even pledge to pay a extra third as a fine for dying.

make it where... said warrant could only be claimed by one person with warrant. No one else could flag on said target when warrant carrier was on said server section. So it were a true 1 on 1 bounty, and i would be down for that.

I really don't see players of red characters paying their subs to sit jail
if the rule i said were applied, i would take my 17k long terms against anyone 1 on 1.

Its the gank squads that would make it a problem, make it so we have a flagging system where they need to be holding the warrant and id be down Petra :)

I loved bounties, ganks is what sucked back then. We could do the same thing and add some changes to improve the old system. I just do not know how many players participated in it as I did many moons ago. I still have a full chest of "heads". :eyes:

2 week thing is a bit wacko, but bringing back a revamped system would be awesome! Love your post farimir

All the hate can be avoided with just not going into Fel. You don't like don't join, yes you might be missing the best(IMO) part of the game but that is your choice. It's semi open PVP so deal with it. It's great fun killing and being killed. 1 v 1, 2 v 1, 1 v 5 or 20 v 20 who cares. Gank squads or not. Me vs 8 blues trying to do a spawn. I can assure you that my showing up and trying to kill them all is greater fun for everyone(if they win) then getting 11 useless scrolls and rolling for a 120 bushido.

It was not serious.... I was being a troll...

I still think there ought to be some better sort of "Justice" system incentive to be a good guy.... and PvP .... But to just go kill to kill makes you just like a PK.... and then you may as well be red not blue.

Correct me, if I'm wrong, but the more PvP players you have the better. So what does your idea accomplish? Nothing. You just ripped one sentence from my post out of context.

Yes, you will then definitely have more players. But only a lot of PvE players which are forced into PvP. Essentially just cannonfodder. So is it safe to assume, that you're not really interested in real PvP and instead want just some easy prey to brag about your "victories"?
