Coming up to a week of a bugged character.

Anyone else experienced this? GMs say it's new to them -

My oldest char on account never had any skills soulstoned off up until a week ago. When I removed his 120 Magery, eval and 100 scribe and moved to another char.

I played the char then moved the skill and suit back. (suit is full pvp spec)

Now I thought all was well, until I discovered that I now do 17 DMG flame strikes to myself at corpse skinned 43 fire resist.

I also barely damage low end mobs despite max SDI, 150 int 120 Mage and eval.

The GMs said they were looking into it and I've had a little contact. But I'm now starting to fear I may have to end up deleting him and buying all the scrolls etc again!

It's as if the characters SDI is completely non existant like having no eval! but can poison through 120 resist like it has eval. It's very strange

Anyone had a similar experience?

Never heard of it.
Have you tried to stone eval int, put the skill to gain again, cast a few spells to gain a few points and then get it back from the soulstone?

It's been several years ago but I did know a guy who had this happen to him back when I played Siege Perilous I think he was only able to have it fixed by a GM. You may need to E-Mail Mesanna.

Ate tried that, also tried using a different skill set of eval from a different character!

It really is very odd! They asked me to rearm skills and suit and leave for a while for them to run tests but it's my main suit and main chat so I'm currently running his setup on another char an moved it all back! I can't have my main sat doing nothing for so long! I appreciate their efforts but would it not just be easier for them to let me delete then them reset skill caps at the same as my current char in the hope that it's a one off?

I know this has happened to several people, sounds familiar. I'll try to do a Stratics search in a bit if someone else doesn't get to it first.

Eval Int doesn't determine whether a poison lands or not, it's all Magery. Magery and Poisoning determine strength based on distance to target.

Try this:

I had this last week on my mage, very same thing! I called a GM he said the problem was unable to be fixed by him and i had to submit a bug to [email protected].

But here is how i fixed it my self:

I tryed to stone eval int on and off that didnt work.

What did work for me was putting 120 Focus on and 120 Mystic, taking off magery and eval int.

I tryed the damage from the mystic and it was working properly, so i then stoned the Focus and the mystic and put the magery and eval back on, which fixed the problem for me.

Hmmm, well I've had necro on and off the char and not noticed a problem and hasn't fixed anything but il try moving myst and focus over and back off and see how that goes!

In the old days poison spell landing was basèd on eval int I'm sure. Coz med dexer couldn't really poison a gm resist char! Had to be an eval dexer for it

so it would be most likely a ''focused skill'' bug ... switching from one focused to another should resolve the issue as I am seeing ...

It's one of those weird, magery specific spells. I can't speak for Pre-T2A, though. Poison, Poison Fields, Mind Blast.

My friend Darik used to run a hybrid LJer way back when. He had very low magery just to stick a poison. Was so annoying to duel him, lol.

Ya there was a guy on Siege named Lothar of LOD who did something like that but he was a fencer loved to spam you with bleed/disarm + poison lol

I've had a bugged archer in the past ,to be brief nothing would save( macros or desktop) or work on specials or damage, after a year of waiting on gm's to tell me by message they could do nothing about it I called support and they gave me a key number to forward in the help message to get a gm to look at all the notes. then in less than 5 minutes char was fixed( in one of the patches or updates a space devoloped after the char name). so I'd say email it in as suggested other wise they may not look to close.

Yes it worked for me
