Signs that tells you you've been playing this game too long
Too many times I get revealed!
* Driving and seeing license plates and wondering what that guild tag stands for.
* *emotes* in head while having r/l conversations
* dreams of UO where we could have islands to decorate and control the weather (musta been a late night playing and listening to coast to coast AM and story about HARP)
* getting the accountant at work (stuffy mean old man) to get on the receptionist computer (which i had loaded uo on) to help me transfer a house after i placed a new plot when zento opened...and trying to hide it all from the boss man
* as said before...thinking houses should be IDOC (live/work in metro Detroit), or plot could hold a castle
* wanting to pk obnoxious coworkers (no....i wont confuse virtula and r/l
ohhhh and being obsessed with the want of a rideable Dolphin~!

When phrases like "WTS HPI 25, LRC100%, DCI 50, All 70's, blah blah with no jewels etc" make sense to you. Some things you just can't explain to non players.
So BECAUSE you brought it up and I am a newbie. What does HPI and DCI mean??

Recently, my husband made a smarta** comment and I replied with "watch it buddy. I'm a wise and powerful mage and can take you out with a poison and two energy vortexes". He looked at me like I had lost my mind.
Hmm. I can identify to one degree or another with most of the posts above. A few I have experienced that I didn't see (or might have missed in my quick read):
You realize that you recognize plants and can name them - because you've grown them in UO!
You see some sheep in a field and wonder how much wool you could get from them.
You wish that you could sew an outfit in rl as easily as in UO.
Your son insists that you sign up with a dating service - and you have absolutely *no* interest in any of the guys because none of them are gamers.

I have that problem as well... I looked into them and was like.... but all these guys give a hoot about is sports and sports.... and they want to go hiking and fishing.... and yuck...
I want a guy that wants to play a game... Someone who's idea of a good time is a dungeon crawl... It'd be good too if he liked UO and thought WoW sucked big time.
