High Seas Booster is on sale right now through Jan 28th at the Origin store for $5. Picked one up for my 2nd account, thought I'd share.

I LOVE Whataburger....I miss Texas....Couldn't pass it up. $5.33 with tax. I've spent more at Whataburger.

Nope, it is just getting rooked by companies for more dollars. The ONLY additional cost I would expect to pay would be the 10% gst we pay here on goods and services of items store bought HERE, but I guarantee you the Origin Store is NOT paying our government 10%. This money is going straight to Origin and has absolutely NOTHING to do with any Australian taxes etc.As far as game prices go, it's not only things in Ultima/Origin store. Check any prices on Steam games in Aus. vs USA. The same game is always more, from 20%-100% more expensive. A copy of Civ 5 was $50usd for me and for my friend in Aus. it was $100. It has to be some sort of import tax/law that Australia has set up.
Must be just Americans (AGAIN)
The charge for us Aussies is $19.99 and given that our dollar is worth more than the American dollar right now that equates to even more dollars in US terms.
I am starting to get really sick of the inequality those outside of the USA get in all things Ultima. From items and events in game, and now in the purchase of items from the Origin store. Once we all purchased from the 'same' website, and the exchange rate of the day was the difference. Now we don't even get the same deals.
LONDON: The Australian dollar fell to a 3-1/2 week low against the US dollar on Monday, with traders saying it was dragged lower by weakness against the euro as euro zone worries ebbed.Australian dollar falls to 3-1/2 week low versus US dollar

Arrrrr, the sale ended at 10am PST on the 28th.I just checked, figuring I'd upgrade a secondary account. It's 1pm EST Jan. 28th and it's not on sale. Still shows it costing $14.99.
I just don't understand these people... No advertisment, quick duration... It's almost like they have some kind of bizarre aversion to profit...Arrrrr, the sale ended at 10am PST on the 28th.
Nope. Us Dollar is worth more than the AUS dollar. I would though email EA and voice your concerns over the difference of prices but I think this happens alot for Americans also when it comes to sales on the UOJ.

You have misread the info you posted, even tho it fell it is still HIGHER than the US dollar. Has been all year, if it was lower it would read .99 to US $1.00 etc ie we get 99 cents to your dollar. The Australian dollar fell 0.2 percent on the day to US$1.0401, its lowest level since Jan.4.
Yes I know some companies rip us off for more, especially IKEA and multinationals like that, however it doesn't mean they HAVE to. As I pointed out some items are the 'same' eg the garden beds. Why is there this disparity?Basically what I'm saying is it's not limited to Origin/UO specific purchases. It's almost every game, hard copy or digital download, and it's been that way for a while. I have been buying games for my friends that live in Aus for years. But I'm sure you know this.
It is an account upgrade code, not a token. Just like when you upgraded to Stygian Abyss.I am skeptical about this whole $5 thing. I mean, would I get a token for the whole HS booster or would I just get to choose one feature from the "treasure trove" that is offered?
Read my thread here: http://stratics.com/community/threads/origin-store-purchase-didnt-go-as-planned.293048/ and you'll know what I mean by the use of the term 'token'It is an account upgrade code, not a token. Just like when you upgraded to Stygian Abyss.
I agree. Otherwise, I doubt I'll ever get another theme pack.Wish they would put rustic, and that other theme pack on sale.
According to OP:did the High Seas Booster sale ended?
